Good 41º (yeah, 20+ degrees warmer than it has been!) rainy morning. We did get some precip.... 12 or 6 drops at least.
Hopefully this means we're getting more rain....
I didn't finish the rest of the cornbread so I cut it up and put it in a tub outside. First the crows found it and were happily munching... then the turkeys found it...
Yesterday Maggie and I made a run to town to the post office and market. On the way back up our drive the Toms and Jakes were just moseying along.... and they continued to walk at their own pace, irregardless that there was a BIG BLACK TRUCK behind them....

Dinner was another experiment.... I cooked some rice blend (brown and wild) in my 35 year old rice cooker that still cooks rice perfectly...
This rice blend is great. It comes from Costco. Then I seared some little scallops. When the rice was done I added the scallops, some shrimp, diced celery, diced yellow bell pepper, straw mushrooms (found in the Asian food section), peas, chopped green chilis ...
Stirred it all together and added some sweet hot chili sauce mixed with mayonnaise....
And lastly I added some diced Roma tomatoes.
AWESOME!
Sunset last evening was interesting...

Oreo was a rescue dog and lived out the rest her life in the best possible way with lots of love and care.
All I know. Nuff said. Ciao.

Sue,
As usual your dinner creation looks awesome!! Wish I could dream up meals like that but if I did it would no doubt be awful and John would turn his nose up! LOL
Oh my! It must have been comforting to Kristin and the kids to have had you there when they lost their little Oreo last year. Such a sad thing.
Glad it's chocolate day! Now I can eat some of that See's candy that we received last night with NO guilt! :):)
Hugs, Trisha
Go for the See's!!!!! Yummmmmm.......
Turkeys stuffed with cornbread dressing- living!!! I love it. I will light a candle for little Oreo on the Rainbow Bridge. Love to you- as always. Love the skyline photos. <3 t
