Good 32º foggy morning. Rain on and off yesterday. WIND that was wild. Blew stuff over on the porch (birdhouses, clock, etc.) As of this morning with no rain in sight for a few...
... we ended up with just over 1½" of rain.
Took this about 4pm and it pretty much looked like this all day....
At one point the rain started coming down really hard and I saw the feral kitty run like mad towards the barn and the opening under one stall to get out of the rain. Then a little later the rain subsided and out came kitty .... on the hunt...
At that same time the Toms were staying dry under the trampoline....

A joke to end the year with....
Two old guys, one 84 and one 87, were sitting on their usual park bench one morning.
The 87 year old said, "Well, I eat rye bread every day. It keeps your energy levels high and you'll have great stamina with the ladies." So, on the way home the 84 year old stopped at the bakery. As he was looking around, the lady asked if he needed any help. He said "Do you have any rye bread?" She said, "Yes, there's a whole shelf of it. Would you like some?"
He said, "I want 5 loaves.” She said, "My goodness, 5 loaves ... By the time you get to the 3rd loaf, it'll be hard" He replied, "I can't believe it, everybody knows about this shit but me."

As I was watching the news the other night I was just amazed to see a fight that broke out between Armenian monks and Greek monks in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. ??? They all had brooms and apparently were cleaning it up when they started hitting each other with the broomsticks! What on earth!

Yesterday I put a chicken in the crockpot (for Maggie) and cooked it in a carton of chicken broth. About 2 hours before it was done I added a package of baby carrots, a mess of chopped celery, and broccoli. My tummy wasn't feeling the best to thought this would make a good dinner for me.
Removed the chicken to drain and added to the broth a can of cream of chicken soup, Chinese stir fry noodles, a bunch of dried mushrooms, and a ½ cup of quinoa. Mmmmm..... hit the spot.

While all of you are out there amongst 'them' celebrating I will be in my chair, fire in the wood stove, wine in hand, cat on my lap, dog in front of the fire, and watching the east coast feed of the ball drop in NY (8pm here!) all snuggy and warm.xo Sue-Mom-Bobo
