Good foggy 35º morning with a "chance" of sprinkles...

The sun did actually come out yesterday for a little while! I got a good dose of Vitamin D!

Fortunately for my friends in So. Cal who live in the Glendora area where evacuations were in effect due to flooding, didn't have to make a run for it. Linda (Junker) DeMarco and Linda (Kretzinger) Price are safe and sound!

Today is the special anniversary of special people. My dear high school pal Annalee (Carlin) and her hubby Led Fortini are celebrating their 46th Wedding Anniversary! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY KIDS!!

Today is also another high school pal's special day... Barbetta (Hanson) Suttles is celebrating her birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARBETTA!!!! You are still cute as ever!

 

Yesterday I got the cleaning bug and cleaned out a cupboard in the kitchen. 4 bags full got tossed! Yeah!

 

Then I decided to make some soup with a package I found in the cupboard... Harry & David's Tuscan Chicken and Bean soup. It calls for chicken breast, so I used canned chicken, chicken stock, and diced tomatoes along with the beans and spices in the soup mix. 

I also found a small packet of tiny pasta shells, so in they went too. Put all in crockpot. Let cook for a few hours then found a box almost empty of mini spaghetti so added that in. Thickened it up a lot. Made a GREAT side dish instead of soup.

 

Had a large salmon fillet so mixed mayonnaise with parmesan cheese and slathered that on top.

Baked 375º for 30 minutes. (less if the fillet is thin)

OMGOOOOOD!!!!

Yesterday I went over to Jennifer Murphy's. PJ and Dave had kindly lent her their big dog/cat cage when her puppy Sugar Fox was a baby and took a dive off the second story deck! I had to pick it up and take it back to PJ and Dave as they are heading to the desert with their cat Neko and needed to get it packed in their trailer. Jennifer had picked up lunch for her and Mike and I. Barbecued ribs and Mexican food. YUMMMM! The groomer, Cheryl, was there and had bathed all three dogs and given them a nail trim.

Good 46º cloudy morning. Rain on and off all day yesterday. We are up another 1/2". Nothing much predicted for a few days. Southern Ca and Northern Ca is where it's going to be bad.

I have friends living in the Glendora area and they are under mandatory evacuations. Pray for their safety and that of their homes.

Yesterday a trip into Grants Pass to get my hair cut. Then to WalMart to get some toys to put in Brian's Toys 4 Tots box at his office. (Please contribute. His State Farm office is on Allen Creek Rd... next to Albertsons and The Vine) Then home. Pouring rain most of the day. Stupid stupid people on the roadways. No clue how to drive in the rain!

 

I did buy myself a new puppy while I was shopping...

He's sitting on the chair next to mine... keeping an eye on me and making me smile!

 

 

Dinner was reruns. Actually I had a late lunch (dinner reruns) when I got home so dinner wasn't interesting... so I popped some corn, drizzled on the butter, and sprinkled on bacon salt! Dude was alert to those smells. I gave him a little. He was thrilled! Watched more Hallmark Christmas movies and Chicago PD.
