I was 'trying' to get dressed. Was about to put some jeans on when the Bruise decided to lay on them!

 

BTW that's not yellow carpet, merely a shadow... so since he wanted to nap on my pants, I gave up...  a nut case for sure!

Yesterday I finally got to spray the roads! The new pump motor on the sprayer works perfect! Thanks Dave.

 

Maggie and Dude and I took a ride in the golf cart to open the gate first thing in the morning. Bruiser decided to follow along... nut. He climbed a tree and I had my camera...

Rick showed and brush-hogged all day. Lots got done.  He spent 7 hours on the big pasture. He'll be back today to tackle the upper pasture.

 

 

He did an excellent job. The best of anyone I've hired so far. Cut it really close and tight. Nice.

 

Dinner was a can of Progresso Chicken and Dumpling soup. Too tired to cook.

Ah, the ubiquitous chocolate chip. As Fun Food Holidays go, National Chocolate Chip Day is a no-brainer, as these heavenly little drops represent the primary way many people eat chocolate in the first place. Good in cookies, muffins, trail mix, pancakes, and so much more.

Quail ~ Queen ~ Boudin ~ Biscuits

Good 42º high clouds morning. Supposed to stay cloudy today with a chance of rain tomorrow. Yesterday was a "no spraying day" with 25 mph wind gusts! Windy all day. Howling wind.

 

Yesterday I heard this quail calling...

and sitting in the grapevines .....

Interesting yesterday.. I had ordered a "Mom's Day" breakfast package for Kristen from Boudin Bakery

in San Francisco.

It was on a "2 day shipping" by FedEx. It was to be delivered on Friday. I checked the tracking number after Kristen didn't say anything about receiving a package. Sure enough the stupid FedEx driver said at 6:30pm an attempt was made to deliver but the school was closed. DUH! It's a school!!! So I wrote Boudin and told them of my frustration. They called me yesterday and apologized, said they were going to contact FedEx, and Kristen would get the shipment yesterday as well as another shipment of "fresh breads" and an apology from Boudin on this coming Friday. Nice. Glad they did that. Good company and I'm happy now. EXCEPT that Kristen never received the package yesterday~! FedEX you are on my LIST!
