Good 46º clear morning.
This is Police Officer Memorial Day ... also Police
Week...
Honoring
Brothers and Sisters who have fallen in the line of duty.
.... including my friend Raul Gama. RIP Raul. Your lovely family misses you and your friends miss you.
Thank you to all of
those who have served in law enforcement... from the tan & green to the
blue. All heroes in my book, including my late husband Jerry ♥ and my daughter
Kristen! So proud of what you did Kristen! ♥
Here is a panorama I took yesterday morning about
7:30...
...and the one I took in the afternoon while Rick was brush hogging...
Breakfast was a burrito. I cooked some ground round with the following
seasonings:
Then I added eggs and topped with cheese. GOOD!
Historically this date...

Abraham Lincoln signs a
bill into law creating the United States Bureau of Agriculture. It is later
renamed the United

... you wonder "WHAT WERE HER PARENTS THINKING? to allow a 16 year old
to do this! OMG. Amazing she accomplished this feat.
And births this date include...
The following requested by Anonymous commentator on my blog
yesterday.....
Life's simple pleasures:
"Seeing the sun rise and set."
Yesterday I finally got to spray the roads! The new pump motor
on the sprayer works perfect! Thanks Dave.
Maggie and Dude and I took a ride in the golf cart to open the gate first
thing in the morning. Bruiser decided to follow along... nut. He climbed a tree
and I had my camera...
Rick showed and brush-hogged all day. Lots got done. He spent
7 hours on the big pasture. He'll be back today to tackle the upper pasture.
He did an excellent job. The best of anyone I've hired so far. Cut it
really close and tight. Nice.
Dinner was a can of Progresso Chicken and Dumpling soup. Too tired to cook.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day

National Chocolate Chip
Day
Ah, the ubiquitous chocolate chip. As Fun Food Holidays go, National Chocolate Chip Day is a no-brainer, as these heavenly little drops represent the primary way many people eat chocolate in the first place. Good in cookies, muffins, trail mix, pancakes, and so much more.

Your place looks so nice now after its hair cut! Liz
Some "hog" burritos, some "hog" brush-LOL- How does anyone learn English as an adult?
God bless our law enforcement. And their families.
Thanks ladies! xo
Yes, May God bless our law enforcement and keep them safe. Even the retired ones! :)
Loved your panoramic photos of the spread! Beautiful. What a job mowing all those pastures! I don't envy your upkeep bills! What am I saying?? I don't envy ours!! Yikes!
I cracked up yesterday at the photo of the Queen laughing. That's a sight you don't see very often!
Hugs, Trisha
Yes, T, it's pricy at times, but paying Rick to do this is cheaper than buying my own tractor and then sitting out there for hours and hours! Plus upkeep on a tractor is not something I want to do. xo
Reading Raul Gama's story brought tears to my eyes again. Jim was at his grave on the anniversary of his passing to stand watch. Deputies were there for 24 hours.
Tears here too O. Raul was such a neat guy! xo
