Interesting ... the invention of school....

The name that comes as the inventor of school is Horace Mann who born in Franklin Massachusetts in 1796. He was a college professor of the subject Latin and Greek, he was also a college president. However, in spite of many school methods and teaching methods before this man, the credit for the contribution and invention of the regular school system in 1837 goes to him. Also, the educational historians call him The Father of the Common School Movement.

Another name that comes as the inventor of school is Harry P. School. He, around 1369, started gathering the neighborhood children who behave any unacceptable way and would lock the children up in a building. This concept might be rough, but the guardians of the punished children liked the idea. So, it can be said that he is probably not the inventor of school, but as in his class, the children got punished, so he deserves some amount of credit for the idea of assembling the children to accurate their wrong behavior.

So, it is difficult to say one name who invented the school as there are lots of contributions from many in their way. They all helped to create the educational system which is used in all the schools all around the world.

School is the institution where the students are taught in a learning environment by the teachers. The awareness of knowledge passing in every possible way has always been around, and school is the place where these ideas have been implemented through specific systems that can help the students to learn in a more efficient and more organized way. At least once during the school days, every student thinks about the invention of the school and more specifically who was the inventor of college.

The concept of learning the students in a centralized location has existed even at classical antiquity. Since ancient India, ancient Rome, Ancient China, and Ancient Greece, there was an existence of formal schools. At that time the student used to gather in a learning area, and that time these learning areas were known as academics. In 425 A. D., the primary education system had been established by the Byzantine Empire. These schools were much different than today’s schools. These schools were primarily for military personnel. In these classes, the philosophers of Greek acknowledged the military personnel with various topics and also shared knowledge on subjects like mathematics, language, history, and even philosophy. And this Byzantine system of education continued till the collapse of the empire in 1453 A. D.

Schools have been a major part of the growth and overall development of an individual every around the world. Almost everybody living in the urban areas of the world has been exposed to ways of school. They have lived the majority of their childhood in the school environment. As safe as it is, schools are there to help you grow as a person and to support you in your life with sufficient knowledge and skills. It is a crucial part of your life where you get a lot of exposure to not just academics but also to a variety of social situations. These situations act as stimuli to help us achieve your social, emotional, cognitive developmental milestones. These are important for our overall well-being.

There are various organizations today that work day and night to make it possible for every child, whether in the urban or rural area, to be able to go to school. The main aim of these organizations (mostly non-profit organizations) is to pay for and provide free- schooling to the children coming from low-income families. As important as it is to go to school, it is also important to know that going to school and learning new things is your fundamental right, and this right should be given to everybody equally. As knowledgeable people, one must contribute to this cause as much as one can!

From Mr. Food

It may sound simple, and it is, but this egg and cheese topped bagel is a favorite breakfast dish at Mr. Food's house... And it's sure to become a favorite at your house, too!

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cooked sausage
  • 1 teaspoon sliced scallions
  • 1 bagel, split

  1. Coat a 2-cup measuring cup or small round microwave-safe bowl with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Break the egg into the cup and scramble then mix in the cheese, sausage, and scallions.

  3. Microwave at high power for 1 minute, or until set. (Microwave oven temperatures vary, so adjust cooking time according to your microwave.)

  4. Meanwhile, toast the bagel. Place the cooked egg in the bagel, and serve.

***For a heartier egg sandwich, mix in a sprinkle of bacon bits or cooked chunked ham along with the sausage. Want it lighter? Use any of the refrigerated or frozen egg substitutes (1/4 cup equals one egg).

All I know. Nuff said. Have a good Sunday. Ciao.

National Dentist’s Day on March 6th sets aside a day each year for us to say, “Thank you” to the person who keeps our pearly whites in tip-top order every 6 months.
In many cases, the day of our dental visit usually has us a bit nervous and sometimes anxious. We would often rather be someplace else than sitting in a dental chair. The dentist is not the person most of us look forward to seeing.  However, when our checkup is done, our teeth are cleaned, the cavities are filled, the broken tooth is fixed, or a toothache is gone, we appreciate what the dentist has done for us.
The dentist is also the person we count on when a tooth aches or an emergency occurs. They make sure our oral health isn’t signifying something more serious. Their offices send out reminders, encouraging us to come in for our routine check-ups and schedule us for appointments. They create plans of care and make our smiles look great, too.

HOW TO OBSERVE

Take some time to thank your dentist. While you’re at it, schedule your next preventative cleaning. Pick up a new toothbrush and some floss, too!
and........ today is also....

Be ready to observe by having your glass of milk handy as it is National Oreo Cookie Day.  This day is recognized across the nation each year on March 6th.
The Oreo sandwich cookie is made up of two chocolate disks containing a sweet cream filling and is loved by millions. Since its introduction, the Oreo cookie has become the best-selling cookie in the United States.
The National Biscuit Company (today known as Nabisco) first developed and produced the “Oreo Biscuit” in 1912 at its Chelsea factory in New York City. Today, the block on which the factory was located is known as “Oreo Way.”
  • The name “Oreo” was first trademarked on March 14, 1912.
  • The first Oreo cookies in the United States sold for 25 cents a pound in clear glass topped novelty cans.
  • In 1912, the Oreo Biscuit was renamed to “Oreo Sandwich.”
  • In 1948, the Oreo Sandwich was renamed to “Oreo Creme Sandwich.”
  • William A. Turnier developed the modern-day Oreo design in 1952 to include the Nabisco logo.
  • Nabisco’s principal food scientist, Sam Procello, developed the modern Oreo cookie filling.

HOW TO OBSERVE

Grab a glass of milk and a handful of Oreos to enjoy.
