Heat ~ Picture of the Day ~ Lady Gaga ~ Oven Fried Zucchini Chips ~ Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Good 59º pink clouds in the sky morning.....

Sigh, since the days are getting shorter and the sun doesn't come over my mountain until just after 7am.......... it almost feels like I am getting up in the night!

Yesterday by noon we were at 91º, 2:30 it was 104º, 3:45 it was 108º, 4:15 it was 112º! , 5pm it was 110º, and 6pm it cooled to 109º!  Might be the same today. YUCK!

Picture of the Day....

Interesting abut Lady Gaga.......

Lady Gaga........ born March 28, 1986 in New York as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

She made a 220 million dollar fortune with "Just Dance", "Poker Face", "Bad Romance".

Lady Gaga (finally) confirmed in October 2018 that she is engaged to be married to Christian Carino. Ever since rumors about their engagement began circling back in 2017, everyone has been itching to know as much as they can about the man that is soon to be Gaga's husband. Christian is a talent agent at Creative Arts Agency, who lists Gaga and other talented celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus, Simon Cowell, and Amber Heard as clients he's represented.

At the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga wore a dress made of raw beef, which was commonly referred to by the media as the meat dress. The dress was condemned by animal rights groups, and named by Time as the top fashion statement of 2010.

As with her other dresses, it was archived, but went on display in 2011 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after being preserved by taxidermists as a type of jerky. Gaga explained following the awards ceremony that the dress was a statement about one's need to fight for what one believes in, and highlighted her distaste for the US military's don't-ask-don't-tell policy.

Where does Lady Gaga live? Well, depends on the day! But when it comes to her home base, her sanctuary, Lady Gaga lives in Malibu! Oh, and she has another mansion in the Hollywood Hills just a few miles away. That said, Malibu is her go-to and we have all the details.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day on August 28th sets aside a day to remember the pet companions we’ve lost.
The death of a pet, whether furry, feathered, or an uncommon variety, is felt deeply. They become family and a familiar part of our lives. Mourning their death is different for everyone, and the observance provides a way to help heal the ache of loss.
The pain of loss is real. As each person travels through their grief, we remember the companionship and comfort they provided to us. Don’t forget that part of the relationship included care provided by you. The empty space left by the loss of a beloved pet is sometimes a difficult void to overcome.
Celebrate the home you provided and the joy your beloved pet brought you in return. When you are ready, you will know the time has arrived to find a new ‘critter’ to replace the emptiness felt. There are many animals yet to find a home. In time, you can be their new home.

HOW TO OBSERVE

Take time to enjoy memories of your pet. Look through pictures. Consider a visit to an animal shelter if you feel ready. Volunteering time may help the adjustment.

RAINBOW BRIDGE REMEMBRANCE DAY HISTORY

Deborah Barnes founded Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day in honor of her cat, Mr. Jazz. Cats are fascinating and lovable, little friends to have around the home. We miss them when they leave us. Truthfully, it’s the same with any pet.

I miss Scuffy (standard black Dachshund), Heidi (mini red Dachshund), Lucy (collie mix), Dallas (Chesapeake Bay Retriever), Rufus P Rochester (black and unk type breed), Maggie (Scottish McNab),  Yukon (black 3-leg lab... or we called him Tripod). And Harley Davidson, our cat who lived 22 years!

Good morning, The Picture of Day put a smile on my face.

I remember the meat dress- in a million years I would not have guessed its meaning. I thought she was trying to say she was more than a piece of meat. With LA traffic- having a home at the beach and the Hollywood Hills actually makes sense. For the wealthy. It's easier on their drivers.

Thank you for the reminder about the Zucchini chips. That's just a delightful recipe.

It is most unexpected- but I adore watching Jack Black perform. It's his enthusiasm.

The heat wave is with you this week? That means it's here next.

Oh my goodness! You have had it hot! It always amazes me how hot it gets at your place and how cold in the winter, even snows! I think we have only had a couple of days this summer of triple digits.

The other day I came across a recipe that I got from you and made. Okra fritters! Oh my they were so good. I will have to make them again soon.

I checked out the Wikipedia of Gaga. She sure is an accomplished woman. I could not stand to look at the pic of her in that meat dress. Disgusting! I wish she had had all the town dogs chasing her in that! What the hell did that dress have to do with Don't Ask Don't Tell anyway??
She's bisexual and is getting married to a talent agent. He must be good considering the big names that he represented.

Love the photos of your former fur babies.

XO Trisha
