Interesting about Chanel No. 5 Perfume....
Chanel No. 5 was the first perfume launched by French couturier Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. In 1920, when presented with small glass vials containing sample scents numbered 1 to 5 and 20 to 24 for her assessment, she chose the fifth vial. Chanel told her master perfumer, Ernest Beaux, whom she had commissioned to develop a new fragrance, "I present my dress collections on the fifth of May, the fifth month of the year and so we will let this sample number five keep the name it has already, it will bring good luck”
The average cost is $120.00 but it ranges from that to $155.00+ per bottle. Amazon sells it for $157.94.
I'll stick with my favorite,Reese Witherspoon's Love to the Fullest, sold by Avon, that I get from Amazon for $34.00!
Yummy snack..... Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza Sticks...
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
1/3 cup ranch dressing
1/3 cup ranch dressing
2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
1/3 cup cooked crumbled bacon, about 4 slices
1/2 cup chopped green onions (8 medium)
2 cups shredded Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese
Additional ranch dressing for dipping
Heat oven to 400º. Lightly grease cookie sheet with shortening or cooking spray.
Unroll pizza crust onto cookie sheet, press dough out into a 13x10 rectangle. Spread dressing over dough. Sprinkle on chicken, bacon, and half of the green onions over the dressing in even layers. Top with cheese.
Bake 12-15 minutes until crust is lightly browned and cheese is bubbly in the center.
Sprinkle with the other half of the green onions. Cool slightly. Cut into about 1 1/2" wide strips. Serve with additional dressing for dipping.
- *** For a crispier crust, prebake the dough for 5 minutes before adding the ranch dressing, then proceed with directions.
- Use leftover grilled chicken breast in place of the shredded. Dice it into small pieces to save time, and use up leftovers! or......... use a cooked rotisserie chicken from the market.

On July 2nd we observe National Anisette Day. Anisette is an anise-flavored liqueur that is made by distilling aniseed and sometimes adding a sugar syrup. Anisette is popular in Spain, Italy, Portugal and France.
Pure Anisette should not be drunk straight as its alcoholic content is high enough to cause irritation to the throat. However, mixing it in with coffee, gin, bourbon or water will bring out a bit of a sweet flavor. To enjoy this sweetness without drinking, you can make Anisette cookies!
If you are one to grab all of the black jelly beans at Easter, you will surely enjoy this day and the drink that makes it unique, Anisette. Although Anisette does not contain licorice, it does have that sort of distinct flavor.
HOW TO OBSERVE
To celebrate, mix some anisette into a favorite drink to enhance the sweetness. You can also make anisette cookies.

I made those anisette cookies one time from Carol's recipe. Hated them! I love black jelly beans but do not like licorice and that's what the cookies taste like. :( Weird, huh?
Interesting about how Chanel #5 got it's name. I have stuck to my favorite perfume since high school. Shalimar. :)
Those Canseco twins are sure good looking! Amazing they both got onto the big leagues.

I'm not that fond of licorice either, T. Shalimar was my mom's favorite too. I still have a bottle of hers. xo
Wearing perfume again is a sign of my healing. I choose which to wear by what I need my mood to be. A mist of Chanel #5 is the mist I walk through for confidence. Thank you for the story of its naming.
You are so welcome, L! xo
