Yesterday stayed cool. Only 71º by noon. Some wispy clouds and a breeze kept the heat down. Then by the end of the day we topped at

Interesting about The Scream..........
The Scream is the popular name given to each of four versions of a composition, created as both paintings and pastels, by Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch between 1893 and 1910. The German title Munch gave these works is 'Der Schrei der Natur' (The Scream of Nature). The works show a figure with an agonized expression against a landscape with a tumultuous orange sky. Arthur Lubow has described 'The Scream' as "an icon of modern art, a Mona Lisa for our time."
On 12 February 1994, the same day as the opening of the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, two men broke into the National Gallery, Oslo, and stole its version of The Scream, leaving a note reading "Thanks for the poor security". The painting had been moved down to a second-story gallery as part of the Olympic festivities. After the gallery refused to pay a ransom demand of US$1 million in March 1994, Norwegian police set up a sting operation with assistance from the British police (SO10) and the Getty Museum and the painting was recovered undamaged on 7 May 1994. In January 1996, four men were convicted in connection with the theft, including Pål Enger, who had been convicted of stealing Munch's Vampire in 1988. They were released on appeal on legal grounds: the British agents involved in the sting operation had entered Norway under false identities.

On May 9 raise your glass and toast National Moscato Day. Moscato, or Muscat in Italian, is one of the oldest known variety of grapes grown in the world.
The grape can be white to almost black and the flavor from sweet to dry. Because of this, it is quite versatile and is used to make everything from sparkling and dessert wines to dry and floral wines. Where one Moscato may pair well with a steak, another will go well with fresh fruit and a sharp cheese plate.
In February 2012, it was reported that Moscato wine became the third most popular white wine consumed within the United States.
HISTORY
National Moscato Day was created in 2012 by the Gallo Family Vineyards. The Gallo Family Vineyards is a family-owned business that has been in operation since 1933.

Good morning. LOVE the family line-up. I have a 3x5 on my desk where our heights were recorded as the family grew.
The new prince is bound to have a lovely smile.
I've seen Scream at the National Gallery in Oslo. Unlike Van Gough, my appreciation did not improve with experiencing in person. I understand it is great art- I just am not drawn to its dark psychopathic appeal.
That eggs benedict casserole looks good. Reall good.
Thanks L. One thing we did was measure the growth of our kids! Even some of Van Gogh's paintings are WEIRD! Yes, that casserole is a charmer. xo
I cannot stand looking at that painting. I don't care for Van Gogh either. What ticks me off is the fact that those thieves got off on a technicality! I cannot believe that those Brits didn't enter into the sting legally! grrrrrr
Oh be still my heart! I LOVE the sound of the Eggs Bene casserole! I will definitely be making that. Not sure about that Muenster cheese tho. What does that taste like? Mild or strong?
XO Trisha
I don't know about the casserole, but from the ingredients it sounds mild, T. Let me know. xo
