Interesting about the James Gang....
Jesse Woodson James (1847 - 1882) and his brother Alexander Franklin James (1843 - 1915) were among the most notorious outlaws of the American West, being members of criminal bands and engaging in robberies that came to typify the hazards of the 19th-century frontier as it has been portrayed in motion-picture westerns.
Reared on a Missouri farm, brothers shared their family’s sympathy with the Southern cause when the American Civil War began in 1861. Frank joined William C. Quantrill’s Confederate guerrillas, becoming friends with Cole Younger, a fellow member. Later Jesse joined “Bloody” Bill Anderson’s guerrilla band.
The war was about to end when bands surrendered, but Jesse was reportedly shot and severely wounded by Federal soldiers while under a flag of truce. In 1866, two brothers and eight other men began their outlaw career by robbing a bank in Liberty, Missouri. Cole Younger and his brothers joined the gang one by one during the next few years. By the way, the James gang robbed banks from Iowa to Alabama and Texas and began holding up trains in 1873.

April 15 of each year is National Tax Day. In the United States, Tax Day is a term for the day on which individual income tax returns are due to the federal government. Tax Day may also refer to April 15 for state tax returns.
Federal income tax filing deadline is midnight on April 15th of every year with extensions occurring when the 15th lands on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday. In those circumstances, the returns are due the first succeeding day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday.
These dates can differ depending on residence as well. Some years, due to extenuating circumstances such as natural disasters larger extensions have been granted by the Federal Government.
HISTORY
Income tax was first collected in The United States in 1862 to fund the Civil War. It was deemed unconstitutional due to not being apportioned with conformity across the states. The United States once again enacted income tax with the 16th Amendment in 1913. At that time, the filing deadline was March 1. In 1918 the deadline was changed to March 15 and then in 1955 for the most recent change, the filing deadline was moved to April 15th. The day has come to be known as Tax Day.
