Good 44º and super gloomy and no sun again morning.
Yesterday the gloom hung around and we had a bit of rain.
Then James Stewart of All Natural Pest Elimination came and refilled one of the pest bait containers and renewed my contract with the company.
Here is their crew and James at the top with the arrow....
I have been dealing with this company for about 10 years now and they are GREAT! All of their people are really super nice, James, Senior Inspector, for one, and also their Director of Operations Jack Fimple,
former catcher for the LA Dodgers!!!

Interesting about Moose....
This animal is called the moose in North America and the elk in Eurasia. It belongs to the deer family and represents the largest extant species of it. The distinguishing feature of the moose or the elk is its palmate antlers typical of the males. Other representatives of the deer family usually have dendritic antlers.
Skin color is darker in moose than in elk. – The legs are paler than the body color in moose, whereas elks have darker legs compared to body color. – Additionally, moose has drooping lips, but elk does not.
^Elk
^Deer
Moose used to dwell in a wide range, but nowadays, as the result of hunting and human influence, they typically inhabit boreal and mixed deciduous forests of the Northern Hemisphere in temperate to subarctic climates. Moose have been reintroduced to some of their former habitats. A moose can walk from the very first day of its life. Anyway, baby moose (calves) spend the first year of their life with their mothers and leave with the birth of the new calf.
Currently, most moose are found in Canada, Alaska, New England, Scandinavia, Latvia, Estonia and Russia. Moose's special diet consists mostly of terrestrial and aquatic plants, as they are known as herbivores.

National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day is observed annually on April 12th. Listed in a reader’s opinion poll, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are among one of the top comfort foods in the United States.
According to food historians, cooked bread and cheese is an ancient food, enjoyed across the world in many cultures. The United States modern version of the grilled cheese sandwich originated in the 1920s when inexpensive sliced bread and American cheese became easily available. Originally it was made as an open-faced sandwich.
United States government cookbooks describe Navy cooks broiling “American cheese filling sandwiches” during World War II.
Grilled cheese sandwiches are versatile thanks to the ability to mix and match cheeses, bread, and seasonings. Adding sauteed vegetables or herb-infused oils can elevate this simple comfort food to a whole other level.

HAPPY grilled cheese day. As cheddar can be put on apple pie- I wonder how thinly sliced apples in a grilled cheese sandwhich will taste? An experiment is born.
Photography is art. The featured photo today, it matters not if it was photoshopped; it made me smile.
Elk are such graceful creatures. But driving in rural areas where they roam can be dangerous. Our oldest son frequents such roads, so he has special light to prevent accidents.
Noodles, peas, and cheese- who needs to copy this recipe? Looking aat the picture is reminder enough. Starting with checking the freezer or picking up fresh peas. The latter is best, but the season is so short here.
Let me know, L, how that grilled cheese with apples turns out! xo
Today is also our grand baby Ian's fourth birthday! Kevin will be picking up dinner at Porto's and I will make a couple of dishes too. This little guy is such a joy. I take care of him every day now until their new house is ready.
That recipe would be a main dish with chicken added. Yummy!
I knew it was grilled cheese sandwich day. In my FB "Memories" I came across a photo I posted of my brunch a few years ago. Grilled cheese, tomato soup and kettle potato chips. Perfect! I will fix that again today and one for Ian too. :)
Years ago John was coming home at night up Brea Canyon Road when a deer ran into the side of his car. Killed the deer and did a thousand dollars damage to his car. :(
XO Trisha
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ian!!! ♥ Yes, the noodles peas and cheese would be good with chicken added! xo
