Burrrr ~ Sunshine ~ Picture of the Day ~ Driving in China ~ Easy Grands Biscuit Lunch ~ National Superhero Day

Good 32º clear ice on the barn roof morning.

Yesterday was sunny and we warmed to 78º. Dude was happy laying in the grass, as usual in nice weather!

Picture of the Day......

Interesting about driving in China...
Shared by my Brooklyn NY pal, Vivia....
Do you want to drive in China???

You are looking at is a photo from a drone that flew near the border with Hong Kong. It snapped a photo on the Beijing–Hong Kong–Macau Expressway. You are looking at 50-lanes that are filled with traffic to the brim.

Quick Easy Lunch

1 tube Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
8 thin slices of ham, or turkey, or roast beef, or any lunch meat
8 thin slices of any variety (your fav) cheese

Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease baking sheet with cooking spray, or oil, or butter.
Flatten each grand biscuit into a 6-8" round.

Place a slice of meat and cheese on each flattened round.
Fold the biscuit in half and seal the edges.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

National Superhero Day is observed annually on April 28.  This is a day to honor superheroes, both real and fictional.
Batman, Superman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Hulk and Spiderman are just some of the superheroes whose names we recognize.  Even though they are fictional, these superheroes are great role models for our children.  They serve and protect while fighting evil.
Our real-life superheroes may not have super powers or wear capes, but they are also great role models who serve and protect while fighting evil.  Military personnel, police officers and firefighters are just a few of the heroes who protect us on a daily basis.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Take your favorite superhero to lunch and say thank you for all they do.
HISTORY
National Superhero Day was created in 1995 by Marvel Comics employees.

Happy Super Hero Day!

Our mornings aren't as cold as yours- but it is still barely cool enough I think it is time to light one last fire in the fireplace.

The lightness of your dinner selection does look yummy.

Today's Easy Lunch looks like a perfect ingredient match for when kids drop over- of after a day of gardening when I just want to fall over.

The drone photo of Expressway traffic- what I notice is there are very few truck-size vehicles. There are probably lessons in how they move goods in highly urbanized region.

Yes, L, that dinner was perfect! There are a few semi-trucks on the far right of that China road. Not many though! xo

Yes, Happy National Super Hero Day! Matthew will be jazzed to hear that. He and his dad went to see the three hour movie of the latest Avenger movie yesterday morning, the last in the series.

Love the Grands biscuit recipe. I will have to buy some. I always have a supply of the small buttermilk kind for making chicken n dumplins.

I miss the Schawn meals but with this group of people I am cooking for, it wouldn't work. Perfect for just one or two.

I've seen that "OOL" sign before and love it. My grand babies are great to get out of the pool when they need to "go". :)

XO Trisha

Yes, Schwans are great for just 1 or 2 people, 3 at the most. You have too big of a crowd for them for now!!
