Gloomy/Cold/Rain ~ 10-6 ~ Picture of the Day ~ Alcohol Study ~ Crockpot Chicken Stuffing Casserole ~ Cydney Polley ~ Bill Riordan ~ Dinner/TV ~ National Orange Wine Day

Good 50º low clouds covering the mountains morning.

Yesterday it was gloomy and cold. Well, not real cold, but enough to turn on the electric blanket on my chair! 47º at 10:15 and here came the rain. YEAH~!!!!!! But darn, it only lasted 5 minutes.

Then........... when I went into town for my back therapy session, I came out and it had been raining. This was my windshield.

Wow, first time in forever my car got wet!!! The rain kept up for quiet a while and we got about 1/4".

We only warmed to 52º.

10-6 is radio code for "busy".

Picture of the Day....
Ya think this guy was too warm?

Interesting about and alcohol study...........

British research scientists have done studies on how different kinds of alcohol affect us.... They considered the consistent pattern of our emotions after drinking alcohol. They think the type of drink is more important than it's quantity.
Beer...

This popular drink gives the feeling of satisfaction and peace in almost half the cases. 44% respondents admitted they felt more confident and 25% felt a boost of energy. But the fits of the vapors are prevailing: more than 40% of beer drinkers soon get sluggish and the most emotional 10% can shed a tear.

Red wine......

Weirdly, but most responders (60%) feel overt tiredness after some quantity of this alcoholic drink. More than a half reported the feeling of complete relaxation, and about a quarter become more self-assured and as a result profess interest to the opposite sex. This drink can be attributed to the most placatory ones: less than 3% felt aggressive after drinking it.

White wine.....

This kind of drink arouses rather vague emotions. It's a good relaxant - 33% respondents confessed, it gives self-belief (29%) and like red wine provokes a thirst for love affairs. This beverage is far from being the best energizer, as confirmed by only 15% of highly active respondents. At the same time, tiredness and apathy are also a rare case after taking this drink.

Hard liquors....

Hard liquors give the strongest effect. More than a half of the surveyed turn into energetic (58%), determined and super confident(59%) people without any doubt about their hotness (42%). Beware of side effects! 48% (almost a half!) of strong alcohol lovers suffer from qualms, a bit less (30%) feel discomfort and anxiety and 22% look for a shoulder to cry on.

Later for dinner I had Schwans Shrimp Broccoli Alfredo skillet dinner... (OH YUMMM)....

Then it was chair, wine, TV, and Bruiser napping in my lap. I watched Station 19 which is a show about a fire company in Seattle. I won't watch that one again!

You choose, apparently this is the second season and I never saw it before. Just a lot of bad relationships with the crews.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

On October 6, National Orange Wine Day takes a bold sip of an ancient method of making of winemaking! This little-known style of wine shines with its bold flavor and auburn color. Join National Orange Wine Day as it gains some appreciation with vineyards, wine cellars, and lovers.
Originally made nearly 6,000 years ago in Eastern Europe, the technique for making orange wine is being rediscovered. Surprisingly, winemakers do not add oranges to the wine at all. Unlike the latest beer trends, the wine comes by its color naturally.  Fermented from white wine grapes, the orange wine develops through more skin contact during the fermentation process. Makers treat the white grapes like red grapes preserving the bolder body and tannins. As a result, the ordinarily white wine will deepen into a brandy orange color.
Despite the wine’s obscurity, orange wine makes appearances at wine shows. Vineyards display their orange efforts from the United States to Australia. Get in on the tasting and find a bottle to share!

That is really interesting about the "orange" wine.

As to what liquor gives energy... if you want energy, imbibe in a caffeinated drink. Can't decide? Irish Coffee is for us who wish to remain ambivalent on the hour of the day. May we now be headed to cooler weather- when coffee is best.

Sadly it doesn't look like that orange wine is sold anywhere around here. Sure would like to try it! Yes, coffee. xo
