Good 47º clear sunny morning.
Yesterday Ted Evans and his son Nick were here at 7:40am to do the tarweed spraying in all of my pastures.....
It took them 4 hours. Total area they covered was about 12½ acres.
It got really cloudy and the temps stayed low. Nice. By noon it was only 77º! Stayed extremely windy at times.
Brian brought Dash here about 6pm. He will be staying with Dude and Bruiser and I for a few days while Brian and family go to Disneyland.....
When I was shopping at Safeway on Thursday I got a loaf of Franz bread.... Lemon Cream. OMGOSH! That is sooooooooooooooooo good!!!
Toasted with a little butter (actually, I Can't Believe It's Not Butter) and pure heaven! For some reason this bread is a "limited edition". Anyway, they have bakeries in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana... and outlets all over this area and No. Cal. These are the best breads I have ever eaten. Check out their website. Go to "Locations" and then click on the right for the bakery outlet locations...
and check out their "Procucts".
I get them at Safeway.
Interesting about that hot dog eating contest on the 4th
Every year on July 4, the hot dog brand Nathan’s Famous hosts a hot dog eating contest in Coney Island. The first contest was held in 1972, when the winner scarfed down just 14 dogs. Last year, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut repeated as men's champion by eating 72 hot dogs in under ten minutes, an all-time record for the event. But it wasn’t his personal record overall. In a previous qualifying race for the annual competition, he managed to scarf down 73 dogs. His win last year was his 10th victory at the annual Nathan's Famous competition. Winners receive the famed “Mustard Belt,” along with a top prize of $10,000. This year he ate 74!

Salmon Teriyaki
Quick, easy and tasty salmon teriyaki in a homemade teriyaki sauce.
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (see below)
- 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed into 1 tablespoon water
Marinate the salmon in the teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes to over night, place in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven set to broil until the salmon flakes easily, about 7-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, bring the remaining marinade to a boil on a saucepan, add the cornstarch slurry and simmer until it has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Serve the salmon with the thickened teriyaki sauce.
Option: Pan fry the salmon instead or broiling to get a nice and crispy skin.
Option: Serve topped with sriracha mayo for a spicy kick!

However, it is the kind of dough from which the noodles are made. Elbow macaroni is the most common in the United States, but macaroni may be straight noodles, curved, shells or many other shapes.
