November ~ Laney Honey ~ Bacon Wrapped Apple BBQ Chicken ~ Kristen ~ Tucker Brian Sami Jen ~ Rick Lynda Castro ~ Orange Chicken ~ World Series Game 6 ~ All Saints Day

Good 33º clear ice on the barn roof morning. We hit the high 70ºs yesterday.

Happy November

Speaking of Autumn... my cousins in Indiana have a company, Laney Honey. Started by Dave Laney. Their honey is super good and they ship.... They have many different kinds including whipped honey and honey with nuts.... Take a look at their site...

Easy Peasy Slow Cooker Bacon Wrapped Apple BBQ Chicken

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 slices of bacon
½ cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store bought)
2 large apples, peeled and cut into small pieces
2 T. lemon juice
1. Wrap each chicken breast in 2 slices of bacon and place in slow cooker
2. Mix barbecue sauce with apples and lemon juice, and pour over chicken
3. Cook on low for 8 hours

The chicken comes out moist and tender and  bacon infuses into the chicken and makes it so good!

Yesterday, Kristen's special day, she got a bouquet from the foster care people she is fostering a little dog for.... Awwww....Cute!

Tucker Brian Sami and Jen all ready for trick or treating last night.....

Later a quick trip to town to get Dude his monthly meds and some dental kibble at the vets. Then bill pay time. UGH.

Dinner was Schwans Orange Chicken Skillet Meal... Hunan inspired. Tangy and sweet orange sauce with the tempura breaded chicken, fire roasted onions, water chestnuts, and edamame. Includes rice.

The chicken and vegetalbes are heated from frozen in a little water and olive oil. The rice heated in microwave. Sauce added to chicken and maybe served seperately, but I just stirred the rice into the chicken. OMGOOOOOOOD!!!!! Easy, frozen to done, in a few minutes!
