Sunset ~ Daddy ~ Kristen's Dogs ~ Schwans ~ Bruiser ~ Buttons ~ Three Stooges ~ Peanut Day

Good 51º somewhat clear morning. Our sunset last night was really pretty...

Besides the smoke and haze here the sun is now coming "up" so much later. It's 12 minutes after 8am before it shows over the mountain yesterday morning...
Yes, it's there behind the clouds..   And my mountain was visible but still smokey..

We stayed smokey all day yesterday and topped at 88º.

Breakfast was two eggs microwave cooked and sitting on fresh baby spinach with some melon. The white chocolate syrup in the coffee is good!

My Daddy, Leslie Laney, died on this date in 1991. He was 90 years old. So so missed. Love you Daddy!!!!
With Kristen and Brian ^

Speaking of Kristen, these are two of her dogs...
Lola and Rico. She has another one she is fostering, Jasper. Jasper has a problem with barking. Any suggestions?

Yesterday my Schwans Asian Order arrived.

I got the Asian order. Leon said he really liked the pot stickers. Will try them soon. For dinner I had
a Pork Egg Roll

and a Chicken Egg Roll

They all come with a sweet chili sauce that is AWESOME! OINK OINK OINK!!!!!
Leon, Schwans driver, is super nice and friendly. And politically we are on the same ground! Yes!

My desk is next to the door and Dude enjoys laying on the front porch, so does Bruiser, but when Bruiser want's in he grabs the screen door with his claws and bangs it !

Interesting:
WHY?
Why do men's clothes have buttons on the right while women's clothes have buttons on the left?

BECAUSE..
When buttons were invented, they were very expensive and worn primarily by the rich. Since most people are right-handed, it is easier to push buttons on the right through holes on the left.  Because wealthy women were dressed by maids, dressmakers put the buttons on the maid's right!   And that's where women's buttons have remained since.

Yesterday I posted a photo of two people and asked if anyone knew who they were. Got a few right answers. Yes, The Smothers Brothers, Tom and Dick. Ok, then... how about this picture.. Who are they? The Three Stooges?
LOL!

Later it was chair, wine, and TV.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

National Peanut Day is the peanuttiest of days. Native to South America, the locals there couldn't keep this great nut to themselves. Actually, peanuts are not nuts. They are "legumes", like peas, beans, and lentils.
Peanuts are one of America's favorite snack foods. And, its more than a snack food. Peanuts are the main ingredient in peanut butter. Peanuts star in a variety of recipes, and is a topping for countless foods and desserts. Many Chinese recipes use peanuts in main menu items.
Peanuts once took the rap as a not so healthy food. More recent research suggests that peanuts can reduce cardiovascular disease and lowers triglycerides in the body. Peanuts are high in protein and fiber, and are now believed to help curb hunger, and therefore help in diet control.

Celebrate National Peanut Day by eating peanuts wherever and whenever during the day that you can. Eating peanut butter counts, too. Want to try something different (and peanutty, of course) ? Make your own Homemade Peanut Butter today.
