Good 57º unbelievably smokey morning. Same yesterday and we
topped at 97º.
A special birthday today...
Yesterday for my birthday Brian, Jen, Tucker, Sami, and Jean and I all went
to Wildlife Images.
The smoke was the worst I have ever seen. This is the sun in the
morning...
And driving to Grants Pass was unbelievable...
(Sadly today is worse!)
Anyway this is a super fun wild animal park where some animals live there
permanently and some are brought in, rehabbed, and released. It's owned by Dave
Siddon and my old high school chum, Ron Loynds is on their board of directors.
Anyway, because Brian knows Dave we got an early special tour. I am putting
together photos for a Smilebox.
Here is one from yesterday...
Last year Brian and family took me to Wildlife Safari for my
birthday...
And the year before that we went to Great Cats World Park in Cave
Junction.... another friend of Brian's owns this and I got some special
treatment...

Skyscraper Day
Skyscraper Day is a day to
appreciate and admire the world's tallest skyscrapers.
Skyscrapers are truly engineering and architectural marvels. In many
crowded cities, space is in short supply, and real estate prices are ever
increasing. Building "up" becomes more and more logical. As technical
capabilities in construction improved, skyscraper buildings have become taller
and taller. In addition, there is a certain prestige to have one of the tallest
buildings in the world in your city and country.
