Good 49º cloudy drizzling morning........
Yesterday it was a lot cooler... and we got some rain starting
about 2pm. Total for yesterday and last night is about 1/10".
Went to Medford for my yearly with my regular doc, Rachael
Orozco.
Bad time of day... appointment at 4pm. UGH. This was a "Medicare Checkup". OMGOSH, no physical exam, except for BP, pulse, temperature, and the doc listening to my lungs. The rest was a million questions about my health/diet/etc that Medicare wanted answered. Groan. The nurse, Cambria (yes, Cambria... like the town in California!) had to type all the answers into the computer. Took 30+ minutes. Anyway, Dr. Rachael said I was fine and healthy! Yeah!

And my mountain when I got home:
I was watching Diners Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri, and he went to
this restaurant in Los Angeles... Little Jewel of New Orleans in Los Angeles
Chinatown... http://littlejewel.la/
It is right down the street from Phillipes...
OMGOSH, all the food they make pushes the drool button. I have GOT to go
there!

It comes from Australia and there are several different ones... regular, smokey, jalapeno)

that today is International Talk
Like a Pirate Day? It's a day just
for fun, a day to let out the pirate in each of us. We like "just for fun" days

conversation will be lively, and you don't want to be left behind. Today,
everyone will be talking the talk, if not walking the walk. It is not a
requirement to dress like a pirate today. Just talk like one.
