Good 58º clear sunny morning.
Yesterday was bill paying day. I did that. I watered, early.
By noon it was 90º, 1:30 94º, and we topped at 102º.
As predicted for this week, it is all triple digits... this does not look
good!
Today high school friend, Carol Nasca, is having a brain surgery called
Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt. A shunt will be installed to relieve extra liquid
build-up in the brain. It's fairly easy and she should be back home with her fur
babies really soon.
Send her good thoughts and prayers.
Ok, here is a super good, easy, 3 ingredient peanut butter cookie recipe.... a fav:
Yield: 15 or so cookies
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 8-10 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1. Preheat oven to 375º. Mix ingredients until it becomes cookie dough-like
consistency.
2. Using a cookie scoop, roll into balls.
3. Press down on each ball with a fork, using a criss-cross method.
4. Bake approximately 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK. They will burn
easily.
5. Sprinkle sugar on them when they come out of the oven, if you like. I
don't.
When they are cool, drizzled on some melted chocolate if you like. I
do!!

The month of August has many special days... It's :
National Golf Month
National Napping Month
and it's.....
National Rasberry Cream Pie Day today
Raspberries are one of the gems of summer. Sweet and tasty, it is loved by
millions of people (and birds, too!) With the arrival of ripe berries, it is
time to make and enjoy some of your favorite dessert treats. High on the list
for raspberry lovers, is raspberry cream pie.
Make this a super raspberry day. Go out and pick your own berries. Then,
make a raspberry cream pie. Better still, make one for you, and another to give
away to a family member, a neighbor, or a friend. Then, dig in and eat a piece
of pie....Yummmm!
