Good 49º clear sunny morning. Topped at 89º yesterday.

drop off some pictures I "played" with of Nicole's cat and dog...
and then to Safeway to get stuff to make

leeks

... Going to whip up that recipe
today!
Breakfast was some Schwans Egg/Bacon Mini Scrambles and topped
with a spoon of ricotta cheese. Mmmmmmm..........
These are from the Schwans order page... They have a crust on the bottom,
so they are like mini egg/bacon pizzas...
And they also have the larger size, called a Breakfast Pizza....
I watched this Sunday night. OMG!! This was the 2004 remake of the 1975 movie. Just sooooooooo weird!
The Stepford Wives...
Glen Close & Christopher Walken
Matthew Broderick & Nicole Kidman
And then I watched Indecent Proposal...
Woody Harrelson & Demi Moore
Robert Redford & Demi
A very odd movie also.
Historically this date....

My hills are alive with .... tar weed! Pretty yellow flower.... very very sticky leaves and stems. Pungent smell.
I talked to my "spray guy", Ted Evans and he said it really has to be
sprayed before the blooms appear. So, maybe next early June I'll get him out
here to do that.
And Dude rests on the porch... He's got several fav places... laying in the
shade on the grass, laying in the sun on the grass, the porch, his couch, and my
bed!
I was not hungry last night for dinner, so I had some black beans and some
mozzarella cheese sticks. According to Dr. Oz for super good fiber input you
should have a cup of black beans a day.
Remember the old poem... LOL:
Beans beans, the musical fruit.
The more you eat the more you toot.
The more you toot, the better you feel.
So, let's have beans for every meal!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

National Daiquiri Day
It's the middle of the Dog Days of Summer. The
weather is hot and sultry. It's time for a cold and refreshing drink. Enjoying
a daiquiri on National Daiquiri Day is the perfect solution, to ease the effects
of the heat and humidity.
The original Daiquiri consists of rum, lime juice and sugar, with plenty of
ice added to the glass. The Daiquiri was first created in 1898 by Jennings
Stockton Cox, an American mining engineer. The Daiquiri was named after the
local mining village of Daiquiri, Cuba, at the Venus bar. Needless to say, the
local miners loved the sweet summer cooler, and it's popularity quickly spread.
As its popularity grew, so did the number of varieties. The original lime based
recipe remains the most popular, along with strawberry. The number of different
Daiquiri flavors is only limited by the number of berries and other fruit.
In the 1940's Ernest Hemingway conceived the frozen Daiquiri at El
Floridita in Havana, Cuba, when he had bartender Constantino Ribalaigua run the
drink filled with ice through a
blender.
