Good 60º clear sunny morning.
We topped yesterday at 95º.
Yesterday it was a surprise when by 10 am the clouds were
moving in... it was 79º and about 40% humidity.
While I was taking pictures there was a little doe looking at me...
And momma bird was feeding her babies...
And then out back were two more, munching on grass and drinking
water.....
They empty the tubs of water every other day or
so.
This is funny.... a goose goes on the run with a fitness class:
Ok, since I was a young teen I loved Ricky Nelson. Had a photo of him on my
pee chee folder..
Here is a concert he did in 1985 at Universal Ampthitheatre. I already
posted this on my FB page.... Click on the link, start the video, and if you
are a Ricky fan, just let it play in the background as you do other
things!
I worked for UPS in 1980 and delivered a package to his house, in the Hollywood Hills just off Mulholland Drive....
As I pulled up in my big brown truck he drove out the driveway and waved to me. HEART ATTACK!!!

Former Wilsonite Doug Gossage is celebrating his birthday
today... with his Bridgette.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG!
And my high school pal's (Sandy Todoran-Beck) baby sister
Babette Faust is celebrating also. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABETTE!
Historically this date....
1935 – The dust bowl heat wave reaches its peak, sending temperatures to 109°F (43°C) in Chicago and 104°F (40°C) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
1966 – Michael Pelkey makes the
first BASE jump from El Capitan along with Brian
Schubert. Both came out with broken bones. BASE jumping has now been
banned from El Cap.
2005 – Lance Armstrong wins his
seventh consecutive Tour de
France.
And
births this date include...

Canadian actor (d. 1981)

and comedian
1951 – Lynda Carter, American

Later dinner was reruns. That pasta dish was a lot, so having it a couple more times. Might even add something else into it. We'll see.
I was watching the Indy NASCAR 400. One crash after another!! The race was
extended to overtime and it's the latest it's ever finished, just about 9pm
their time. The last time it ran this late was a number of years ago when it
finished at 7pm and Dale Earnhardt was the winner.
There were 17 cars knocked out of the race from the crashes. Roger Penske
team has won many (I think 17) Indy 500 races, but has yet to win a NASCAR Indy
400. The winner of yesterday's race was Kasey Kahne
and 2nd place was to Team Penske with Brad Keselowski
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

July 24th
National Tequila Day
Here's to you Darling..... cheers!
(Oh
yes!)
.•*¨*•♫♪
Well, it's
Sunday mornin',
And the
sun is shinin' in my
Eye that
is open,
And my
head is spinnin',
Was the
life of the party,
I can't
stop grinnin',
I had too
much tequila last night.
(Chorus:)
José
Cuervo you are a friend of mine.
I like to
drink you
with a
little salt and lime.
Did I kiss
all the cowboys?
Did I
shoot out the lights?
Did I
dance on the bar?
Did I
start any fights?
Now wait a
minute,
Things
don't look too familiar.
Who is the
cowboy who's sleepin' beside me?
Well, he's
awfully cute,
But how'd
I get his shirt on?
I had too
much tequila last night.
(Chorus)
All those
little shooters,
How I love
to drink them down.
Come on
bartender, let's have another round.
Well, the
music is playin',
And my
spirits are high.
Tomorrow
might be painful,
But
tonight we're gonna fly.
(Chorus)
José
Curervo
You are a
friend of mine.
I like to
drink you with a little salt and lime.
Everytime
we get together,
I sure
have a good time.
You're my
friend, you're the best...
Mí
Amigo....
(Chorus)
José
Cuervo, you are a friend of
mine!
