Good 50º cloudy morning.
Rain was predicted for last night, but nary a drop arrived!
The prediction for today was for rain but now it's been changed to "overcast".
Happy Throw Back Thursday... This picture taken in 2001 when
my nephew, Jim, his wife Melinda, and their two boys Sloan and Ryan came to
visit. Jerry taking them for a ride on the mule...
Today is also a special birthday... Jim's ^! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMMY!!!!
Tuesday I had given Mike a gift for his birthday... hadn't
seen him prior to his special day... May the 4th!
Another singing bear I ordered showed up
yesterday...
So...... yesterday for breakfast I had one of the
Schwans ham/cheese omelets AND also, because I wanted to try it...one of the
bacon/egg/cheese breakfast pizzas! OINK!
You don't thaw them... microwave the pizza for 2½ minutes and
let rest for a minute or so. The omelet microwaves for 1½ minutes and then flip
for 1 more minute. HOW EASY IS THAT~ And let me tell you, they are SUPER
GOOD!!!
Later my favorite phone company guy, Bob Jiles, came by to see what the
problem has been with my phone cutting in and out and the wifi going south. He
looked up at the pole and by golly there was the problem... a loose wire!
He couldn't reach it with his ladder so he called a co-worker, Paul, to
come out with a bucket truck... Paul got here and got it fixed quickly...
Both Bob and Paul are super nice guys. Dude liked them both and kept and
eye on Paul to see what he was doing.
I sat on the porch watching the silly birds.... These are Tree Swallows.
It was quite breezy all day and only warmed to 79º.

Have you ever wondered where Listerine got it's name? British surgeon and
scientist Joseph Lister was the founder of antiseptic medicine and a pioneer in
preventive medicine. While his method was based on the use of antiseptics, is no
longer employed, his principle that bacteria must never gain entry to an
operation wound remains the basis of surgery to this day. Inspired by Lister,
Dr. Joseph Lawerence created LISTERINE mouthwash, which became the first
over-the-counter mouthwash sold in the United States in 1914.
Later dinner was first some Basmati Rice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basmati) cooked
in the rice cooker and a vegetable combination in the steamer basket
above...
Then some Schwans shrimp that is covered in a white wine butter sauce and
herbs... I measured out a portion that I would eat ...
Then into a pan with a drizzle of olive oil and let it cook, turning it to
cook well...
Shrimp on the rice, vegetables, and some tomato...
OMGOOOOOD!!!!!!
Chair, wine, TV. Nap!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

Eat What You Want Day
What would you like to have to eat today? Okay, great.....health
permitting, go ahead and have any and all of your favorite foods and snacks.
Because today is Eat What You Want
Day.
Eat What You Want Day is
definitely not a day for diets. It is one single, solitary day in the year to
go off your diet and eat something you really enjoy, Today, you can set aside
your dietary "No-No" list. Today, you can splurge. Tomorrow, it's back to the
diet. It is important to note that today is not intended to eat as much as you
want. Rather, the goal is to eat something you otherwise wouldn't have. If you
are watching carbs or calories, simply keep within your limits by eating just a
small amount of that favorite
treat.
