Good 47º cloudy morning.
These last couple of weeks have been devastating for a number
of friends of mine. Two female pals fell and broke their hips...one off a ladder
and one on stair steps. Both have had surgery and are recovering well. Then a
pal's husband had a brain cancer tumor removed. He's still in recovery, with his
family staying close. And a high school pal and his wife were taking a vacation
this way from back east and will not be coming to visit as she was just
diagnosed with breast cancer. Please God be with them all.
Yesterday I worked on Smilebox Leg 2 ... Woodland to W. Covina. It stayed gloomy and cold, high 40ºs, all day. Drizzled on and off and we ended up with 1/5".
Bruiser didn't want to go out. Guess he had enough the day
before! He and Dude watched the rain.....
Saw Mr. Coyote up in the pasture. Bruiser saw him too and
kept an eye on him until he went up into the trees .... looked just like this
guy:

Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day
People have been consuming the ever popular grilled cheese sandwich for
seemingly ever. Its roots go back to ancient Roman times, when bread was topped
with cheese and melted. It wasn't until the 1920's that sliced bread was
created. Shortly after that, today's grilled cheese sandwich began to be enjoyed
by millions.
What do you need to celebrate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day? The
ingredients are cheese, sliced bread, a little butter, and your appetite. Any
cheese will do. If you are looking to be a little daring, add a couple slices of
tomato or tuan fish to it, then grill it in a frying pan.
