Good 35º foggy morning. Since yesterday we got another 1/2" of
rain.
Yesterday I left out of here wayyyyy too early, but had a doc
appointment in Medford.
Got that over, and by the way, all is good. I had a fasting
test so no coffee or tea or food in the morning. I was STARVING!!! I read that
coffee on the weekend is "recreational" but on weekdays it's "medicinal" !!!
Boy, when you are used to having it and don't get any, wow!
I had a nice chat with a man in the waiting room. On the TV an OLD show was
playing, Perry Mason! I couldn't hear the sound, but they showed a view of the
LA Co Hall of Justice. That got my attention, then I saw Raymond Burr and
Barbara Hale,
I commented about remembering that because I was old! He laughed and asked how old I was. I said 71. He said, you're still a kid and I thought he was going to tell me he was way older. Not. He said he was 69. Then we chatted. He had been a medic in Viet Nam, Army 1st Infantry. He had been exposed to "agent orange" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_Orange#Health_effects)

which had caused him to have both hips replaced and a pacemaker in his
heart. Anyway, nice man. Very crippled. Sad.
Then I went to Costco...
Hadn't been for a while so needed EVERYTHING (paper towels,
TP, Kleenex, chicken stock, lemon juice)! I also got a quiche (these come 2 to a
package...) You can microwave them or cook in the oven. Last night I cooked the
spinach artichoke one.
I wanted the Harvest Creek pulled pork again, but they didn't have any so
got the Chicken in Buffalo Sauce...
Sounds great and would make super tacos or taquitos, a sandwich, or a wrap!
Will let you know.
Today
is the 22nd .... George Washington's birthday. This is the day Brian was "due".
We had a big earthquake in So. Cal in 1971 on February 9th, called the Sylmar
Earthquake. That prompted Brian to show up early... on the 14th and not wait for
the 22nd! So, doesn't matter, he was destined to be born on a "special day" ...
like his sister Kristen (Halloween baby!)
Historically this date....
