Congratulations to grandson Jackson and members of his school band, The
Gabrielino Eagles Marching Regiment, won 1st place in a band competition last
week.
Congratulations to the Cubbies for winning their first World Series in 108
years. Cubs
Later it was chair, wine, and TV. I watched Bull, Code Black, and part of
the World Series game. The Country Music Award show was disgusting, and I have
always been a country music fan. Sorry. Not for me to watch those idiots any
more. The newer generation is off the track!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

What was the CMA Show like last night that you didn't enjoy? I never watch the music awards shows.
Congrats to Jack and his band! I see they have two Drum Majors!
So exciting! I used to come home without a voice from cheering for our band. :)
Yes, it did turn out to be a beautiful day.

Hi T. Well, the new "country singers" are nothing like the ones I fell in love with back in the 70's and 80's. Beyonce was on the show. UGH!!!!!! A super top notch special award was given to Brad Paisley this year and in a previous year it was given to Taylor Swift. That totally degrades the award! Also Underwood and Paisley were making political comments in regards to Trump, which pissed off just about the whole audience who is Republican~!
Tp put the World Series in Context, I hear the last time Chicago went, canned beer wasn't invented and Al Capone was only 9
Jokes are minefields this close to an election. I didn't start listening seriously to country music until the infamous 09/11/2001. Then I fell hard for the poetry and passion. During a time of decline, Paisley and Swift largely kept the genre from collapsing into insignificance, so I will admire them for that. But no way was I missing the 7th game of a World Series where they teams were both dressed in red, white and blue):-
Let's hear it for YOUR band! YAY.
DAMMIT! I think if they are TRUE country singers they would be Republican because they would be from the south.
That would have pissed me off too! :( They need to keep their political rants to themselves at all awards shows! NOT the place and time, guys!! :(
Did you know that the Cubs' owner is a Republican? YAAAA Cubbies!!
XO Trisha
Well, T, the Cubs owner beats the Dallas Mavericks owner by a million miles... Mark Cuban Adam Henry!!!
