Rain ~ Election Poem ~ Honeybaked Ham ~ Mom's Biscuits ~ Grace Elliott ~ Mushroom Ravioli/Shrimp/Alfredo/Mushrooms ~ Weird Dream

Good 41º raining morning. Started raining yesterday afternoon about 2:30 and sounded like it rained all night. We got just over 1/2". More coming down.....

This poem was shared by pal and Wilsonite, Linda (Kretzinger) Price. I laughed out loud!!!
The election is over, the talking done.
Your party lost, my party won.
So let us be friends, let arguments pass.
I'll hug my elephant, you kiss your ass!

Yesterday my Honeybaked ham was to be delivered, but the tracking said it was delayed. There has been some sort of problems with air lines in Portland. Anyway, UPS delivered part of the order and when the ham arrived in Medford it was brought out to the driver and he delivered it. Yes! Christmas dinner!

Thursday we will be having a "turkey buffet" via special invitation from Dustin and Ashley at The Vine. The restaurant is closed Thursday, but about 40 of us will be there. Brian and I are both taking my Mom's biscuits. SUPER good and EASY!

Ingredients:
Pillsbury Flaky Buttermilk biscuits

1 cube butter, melted

Bundt pan

You take two tins of Pillsbury
Grands Flaky biscuits. Take them out of the tin, separate, and set them in a Bundt pan, standing them up on their sides, filling the pan all next to each other. Heat oven to 350º. Pour the melted butter evenly over all the biscuits. Bake until very golden brown on top. Turn pan over onto plate. Taaaaa daaaaaa................ They pull apart and are super buttery. No need for anything else!
Today is a dear friend's birthday, Grace Elliott (LASD SR ret). HAPPY BIRTHDAY Gracie!!!!

Later for dinner I found some Trader Joe's mushroom ravioli (Heaven!) and some shrimp in the freezer. Thawed both and tossed the shrimp into boiling salted water til they were pink, drained the, deveined and de-shelled them.

Next the ravioli, shrimp, and some Roasted Garlic Alfredo sauce went in a big pan.

After the sauce then I added in some grated cheese and lastly a box of button mushrooms. All heated on low til well warmed....

That was OMGOOD. So glad I added in the mushrooms also!
I have to tell you about a dream I had last night. You high school pals will get a laugh. I was sitting and doing something on an iPhone when this man walked by, wearing a blue shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. I jumped up and said, "Doctor Parisi!" He stopped, smiled, and I hugged him. He seemed embarrassed I hugged him.

OMGOSH, I wonder where that came from. BTW, Dr. Parisi was the principal of our high school.

I just don't know why these scanned photos come out so blotchy. Any ideas?
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

I made your mom;s biscuits one Christmas morning for our feast. Oh my they were yummy and so easy too. Think I'll make them this year too.

What a terrific Thanksgiving you will have at The Vine. What a great idea! If you can't take home leftovers, cook a small turkey breast for yourself for making yummy sandwiches. :)

Have a wonderful one!!
