Good 49º cloudy morning. Yesterday we had a pretty sunset...

While I was out taking pictures, Dude was a happy camper on his porch bed...

Happy Throw Back Thursday.. Jerry in his Cal National Guard uniform 1989...

I was amazed at the rainfall everyone was talking about that we had here while I was gone to Hawaii. My rain gauge was filled to over-flowing! PJ said Dave recorded thirteen inches!!!! Wow. My creek is filled again and running..

Today is 10-20, and in our department radio code it means "What is your location?".

For dinner I did an experiment. I normally cook rice in my rice cooker, but wanted to try this....
2 cups basmati white rice ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basmati ), 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes, 1 can mild chopped green chiles, 3 cups chicken stock, some dried garlic, and dried red onion, and sea salt to taste.

It all went in the little crock pot on high for 2 hours.

I stirred it a couple of times. Then put on low for about another half hour.
Then I cooked an Omaha Steaks sirloin in the Air Fryer, coated both sided with olive oil and pepper, cooked at 400º for 11 minutes. PERFECT! (I like my steak rare so this is perfect for that! The rice was AWESOMELY good!

Night before last I put some carrots, coated with olive oil and some Omaha Steaks cheesy tater tots, and a sirloin in the Air Fryer. Served with a mixture of about half mayonnaise and half artichoke/spinach dip for the potatoes... YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!

Ok, bout it for now. Still going through photos from the trip. Hope your day is good!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

National Angel Food Cake Day

National Angel Food Cake Day is a great day to bake a cake with your little angels. Watch the smiles on their angelic faces, as you hand them the mixing spoon to lick off the batter!
Angel food cake is a sponge cake. It can be simple, or fancy. We suggest a jello angel food cake, for a real treat.

Its really easy to enjoy National Angel Food Cake Day. Make or buy an angel food cake. Making an angel food cake is the best way to celebrate this day. A homemade cake beats a store bought one. Then, enjoy it with family, friends, and at work.

I haven't seen those cheesy tater tots on Omaha Steak site. Looks good. I'll have to buy some in next order.

Two people on your blog today I have seen in person.

The leader of Lynyrd Skynyrd(who wasn't on that fatal plane) Edda and I saw at Sean Hannity's last Freedom Concert in San Diego. He talked about the death of his crew. So sad. Obviously he had a new crew.

Then when Tim Allen's Home Improvement was on TV, John, the boys and I attended a taping of their show. We sat in the "Tool Time" audience. It was the one where Earl Hindman (Wilson) sat with us. When it was shown, Kevin was a plain as day on camera behind him. John, III too but Kev was right there! The next day at high school the kids were so excited to have seen him on TV. :)

We had a tad of rain but we need more please.

XO Trisha

Your handsome husband is leaning over a cloud licking his chops at the good food.

May we order 2" a month of "your" rain? Perferably not during commuter hours.
