Rain!!!! ~ 10-1 ~ Brian's State Farm ~ Bruiser's Cup ~ Florida Sheriff's Dept ~ Veggies/Fake Crab/Yakisoba Noodles ~ Vegetarian Day

Good 48º raining morning. Started in the middle of the night. Looks like we've gotten about 1/4".

Yesterday early evening it got very windy and the clouds moved in..

Today is the beginning of a series of 10 codes. Today being 10-1 which means "receiving poorly" in our list of LASD radio codes.

Today is a special day.... my Brian has had his State Farm Office open for 8 years. Congratulations Bri. Good job!!!
And Bruiser's favorite drinking cup...

Yesterday was a quick errand and shopping trip... pharmacy, post office, market, Ace for cracked corn. In every parking lot there were idiots who have no clue how to park within the lines! Grrrrrr.....
Historically this date...

..... boy howdy, I remember that one. Standing in the kitchen, Jerry gone to work and the kids gone to school... everything in every cabinet was rattling. Brian and his pal Alex were sitting at a signal light and thought someone had bumped into them. Brian later skipped out from school to come home and make sure 'mom' was ok.

And births this date include....

..... oh yes! This boy had some guns on him!!! Yummmmm...

Daddy had his Marilyn Monroe picture in his closet and she always got a wolf whistle when he went in the closet! I have my Mark McGwire milk ad picture in a cupboard and he gets the wolf whistle too!
Interesting what POS Kaepernick has caused throughout the country...
Dinner was sauteéd mixed vegetables, 'fake' crab (I know some of you turn up your nose, but REAL crab is EXPEN$IVE! and this is tasty), and Yakisoba noodles...

First the mushrooms were sauteéd, then the other veggies added along with more olive oil, then lid on and let them steam a bit, then in went crab, and noodles. The noodles have to be heated in the microwave first to loosen them, then you pull them apart and add to the pan. Heated everything through...

YUMMMMMMMMMM!

Then it was chair, wine, and some conversations with pals, a little iPad solitaire and then TV.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Saturday. Ciao.

October 1st.
World Vegetarian Day

World Vegetarian Day encourages us all to eat our vegetables and fruits. Countless studies have proven that a diet filled with fruits and vegetables is good for our health. Vegetarians, have taken this path either for their health, or from a conviction that they should not eat, and therefore, kill animals.
A vegetarian, by definition, eats no meat. That includes fish and other forms of seafood. Bottom line is, a vegetarian eats no animal. Their diet consists of plants....fruits and vegetables. They are ethically and morally opposed to killing animals for food.  They are also against poor treatment of animals at farms ad slaughterhouses.
There are plenty of groups and organizations that support the vegetarian effort. If you are considering becoming a vegetarian, a quick web search, or a look up in your local phone directory should produce a group near you. While you are online, check out the wide range of sites offering vegetarian recipes.
This day is used to promote awareness of the issues, and encourages others to become vegetarians. Seeing as fruits and vegetables are very healthy for you, World Vegetarian Day is a good day to try a vegetarian diet. You might just be surprised at how good it tastes, too.

Origin of World Vegetarian Day:
World Vegetarian Day was first observed in 1977.
