Good 41º cloudy morning.
No radio coded for 10-24, 10-25, or 10-26....
Are you ready for Halloween? I know Devillary is!
Yesterday I worked on more Smileboxes and photos. It stayed
cool and cloudy. By noon it was only 51º. Then we warmed to 60º. There was a
visitor in the backyard, a pup named Nova. I brought her in and I called the
number on the tag.
Dude is really a sweet dog and they got along well. Chased each other and
played.
I didn't get any response from the number, I called twice, so did some
investigating. Texted with two of the girls who work at my vet's office if the
dog, Nova, sounded familiar. No. Then I called my plumber, Mike Artoff, as he
had told me his friend sold the property just north of me and I asked him how to
get onto the property. I drove up there, with Dude and Nova. First house they
said the dog wasn't theirs, but belonged to the lady farther up the road.
Success!!! Nova is home! Lila gave me her house phone, said her cell didn't work
up there.
On Friday, our day #3 in Hawaii, we had a rental car and drove
to the Kualoa Ranch to see the animals, petting zoo, and movie sets. Then we
boarded a bus and Charis was our driver and guide. We went to the shore and took
an ocean ride on a catamaran tour boat. There is one photo of Brian,Tucker,
& Sami, and Jen taking their photo on the bow of the boat. Not long after
that a wave came over the bow and drenched the man sitting by the window (you
can see his hat in the photo)
Sometimes you just get a feeling about people, and I had this one about
Charis. He sat next to me on the ocean ride and we chatted. I told him about my
stint with LASD and showed him my retired badge. He then showed me his badge,
Hawaiian Federal Marshal:
After the boat ride we went to the Boyodo-In Temple and Cemetary. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byodo-In_Temple
Sami, Tucker, and Brian rang the gong. There was Buddha. There were many
cats there. We were told that lots of people come there and feed the
cats.

I put a sirloin steak drizzled with olive oil and pepper into
the Air Fryer for 6 minutes at 400º then added in some olive oil drizzled and
garlic salted artichoke hearts and a piece of buttered bread for another 6
minutes... PERFECT!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

Good morning. The music on the smilebox is as soothing as the pictures.
My sister in law introduced me to fried bologna sandwhiches- ashamed to say I really like this on sourdough toast- but it is probably good to go a couple years between theese indulgences.
Have a GOOD one.
Glad you liked, L! Haven't had a fried bologna or fried spam sandwich in YEARS!!!!! xo
