Shopping ~ Sleeping Bruiser ~ Miss Bonnie ~ Barry Keith ~ Betty ~ Sunset ~ Pecan Cookies

Good 41º clear sunny morning.

Yesterday the topper was 83º. Nice with a breeze most of the day. Great to have windows and doors open for a change!

Yesterday I was going to go to the LE/Fire luncheon, but was feeling crummy, so stayed home. Ate light, drank tea, and rested. Feeling better!

Monday I had done some shopping... first Costco, for  a couple things I wanted and some Brian wanted were on sale. They had these witches to buy for your Halloween decorations that talked and cackled.
Then to 7 Oaks Farm in Central Point..
and got a beautiful cantaloupe  (soooooooooo good and sweet!!), some of their fresh corn right from the field, and a couple egg plants, and 2 sunflowers!

Then to Brian's office to drop off his loot and to the lab at the hospital for my blood test. Then home! Unloaded the car and sat in my chair, with the Bruiser on my lap snoozing!

Two special birthdays today... friend, Miss Bonnie Siebert. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bonnie!!! (Celebrating on the weekend with family...)

And friend Barry Keith is celebrating today. He and his Dawna came from Texas to the Pomona Gun Show and Jerry and I became friends with them. Even went to Texas once to visit them!
                    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARRY!!!!

A fav actress of mine.

Had a call from my niece, Maryann, who told me about my sister Betty's health problem. She is not well. This is very sad. She is 17 years older than me.
Later since I was still feeling puney I made some rice (light and easy to digest), a mixture of brown and white rice, heated a chicken thigh, and some artichoke bottoms. Topped the rice with them. Tummy was happy... had a chat with Tucker and wished him HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We'll do presents later.  Snuggy in my chair and TV. Then I noticed the sunset...

Looking west towards Grants Pass:

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day. Ciao.

The pecan cookies look so good. I may bake today. Not while gardening. While in the kitchen.

It tickled my funny bone that someone from Texas comes to California for guns. More people now come for our granola.

Great blog today- even by your high standards. God hold your family in his comforting hands during your sister's illness. Glad you are feeling better.

Yes, L, if I wouldn't eat every one of those cookies, I'd make some too!!! No, they didn't come to Ca for guns, they had a table at the gun show and sold guns. LOL. Thanks re the blog!!! xoxo

Great photos!

Your friend Barry reminds me of a movie actor from years back. Who????

Sorry you were feeling puny but glad you are feeling better now. Don't you just hate to miss a good luncheon?

Tell me, how do you fix your egg plants? I used to fix them for the kids but haven't in years. I think I sliced them, dipped in egg, rolled in corn meal and fried. Sound about right?

Yes, sorry your sister, Betty isn't well.

XO Trisha

Yes, you are right T, Barry does look like some actor, and I can't recall his name either! LOL. As for the luncheon, there is always next month. I am going to make eggplant pizzas. Will post. The sliced eggplant is the crust. I used to fry them like you say, but want something different.

Thanks T !!! xoxo
