Dinner At The Vine ~ Tucker's Birthday Smilebox ~ Wildlife Images ~ Pancake Day

Good 72º clear sunny late start morning.

Yesterday we topped at 102º and will probably be the same or close today. UGH. Come on Fall!!!!

Yesterday, to celebrate Tucker's birthday he wanted to go to The Vine for dinner. He did have a bowling party and a sleep over with his pals on Saturday. I got to the restaurant a little early, so sat outside with a glass of wine. Here is the Smilebox of photos. Was blown away when high school friend Ron Loynds and his Sue walked into  The Vine! He has a "summer house" up here on the river.

The other couple with Ron and Sue is Dave, Aleena, and their daughter Riley. Dave is the executive director at Wildlife Images...a rescue rehab facility for wild animals in Grants Pass...
Dave's parents started Wildlife Images in 1981.

The meal at The Vine was OUTSTANDING as usual. Dustin brought Tucker a piece of his homemade chocolate cake and a candle. Fortunately for us, Tucker was too full to eat but one bite so we all got a bite! OMGOSH, that is the BEST chocolate cake I have EVER had!!!!! More please!!!!

Home and chair, wine, and TV after a great dinner!

Did sleep in late today, 8am, which was NICE!!! I had to wake up Bruiser for a change! Then it was breakfast and work on the blog and Smilebox... Breakfast was microwave cooked eggs, chicken thigh heated, and lots of cheese with avocado and tomato...

All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

National Pancake Day

A pancake is a batter cake fried in a pan or on a griddle with oil or butter. Most types of pancake batter contain some kind of flour or cornmeal and a liquid ingredient, such as milk or water. In some countries, such as the United States, Canada, and Egypt, pancakes contain a raising agent, such as baking soda or yeast. They are generally topped with a sweet or savory sauce or condiment such as syrup or a fruit topping. Pancakes are an ancient food; the oldest recipe in the English language dates to the 15th century. Pancakes are also known as flapjacks, griddlecakes, and hotcakes.

Still barely good morning, you family historian. What a wonderful service to your loved ones that you record moments, big and small.

Thank you for sharing pancake day- I forgot to put maple syrup on the list.

You certainly have interesting attractions in your region.

Now that I've read your blog- it is on with my day!

Love your Smile Boxes. Looks like Tucker had a second great birthday celebration.

It amazes me too at all the friends of yours and Brian's who live up there.

Isn't it something that tonight's debate is on the anniversary of the Nixon/Kennedy debate!! Praying for a good outcome!

This morning I fixed Matthew blue berry pancakes and an egg. Didn't know it was Pancake Day! :)

XO Trisha
