I just got a new photo program for my computer. So, I've been experimenting....

Amazing what you can do to a photo. Will have to spend some time sitting here and playing with this program. Fun!

I posted a photo of Steve Geon yesterday in Estonia and  he sent me these from St. Petersburg Russia....

Later we got more interesting clouds in the evening... 7pm:

September 1st
Emma M. Nutt Day celebrates the first woman telephone operator in America.

Emma was hired by Alexander Graham Bell. She is the second from the left:

Emma Nutt became the first woman telephone operator on September 1, 1878. She loved the job, and worked at it for 33 years.

This special day celebrates the world of telephone operators. It was a very important job for many decades. Today, the position has been eliminated being replaced by automation in telephone systems. Can you imagine what Emma would think about today's cell phone world!?

A little side note about Emma: According to Emma, she was "very thankful that my first name was not Imma".

LOL Emma Nut! lol What were her parents thinking??

I just love Barry Gibb and The Bee Gees. The other night I was scanning the TV Guide and found on PBS an early concert with them at the MGM Grand in LV. It was on for an hour and I sat glued! LOVED every minute of it!

Nice lunch with friends!

You went to your prom the year John and I got married. :)

XO Trisha

Yes, with a last name like Nutt, you'd have to be more careful with the first name!!! xo

Yes. Emma is much kinder than Ima.

Happy travels to your friend in the Eastern Block. If those walls could talk, we should listen.
