Good 50º few wispy clouds morning.
Yesterday was beautiful, slight breeze, some clouds, and we hit 92º.
A story about 2 Buck Chuck wine..
Charles Shaw had a vineyard in Napa. He sold his wine for about $14 a
bottle. He and his wife divorced and I had heard that he didn't want her getting
a LOT of money, so he made a deal with Trader Joe's to sell it for $1.99 a
bottle. In 2005 his Chardonnay was judged Best Chardonnay from California at the
commercial wine competition. Charles Shaw's winery went out of business and was
sold to Bronco Winery Company in Ceres, California. Trish you will laugh when
you hear who heads that company.... Fred Franzia!!!
There you go, the two wines I buy... 2 Buck Chuck from TJ's and Franzia
box.
My grandson Jackson, aka Jack, aka Doodle Bug is one AWESOME
drummer. He is 16 and going to be a senior this year. Here is a short video of
him at age 9 playing the drums:
And Jack at age 10:
And this was last year:
And Jack with the band rehearsing Wednesday...
Later UPS Dave showed up with my new "toy".
It's a
stationary bike, suggested by my cardiologist as my degenerative disc disease
make exercising or walking very far very painful. Something that happens to a
lot of us as we get older.
Mike Hannan was here yesterday and he helped me get the bike
out of the box. I took it and all the parts that have to be assembled into the
house to work on today...
Mike did a lot of work... trimmed trees, dragged tree stumps from down by
the barn to the burn pile, and cleaned out the rain gutters...
Dude followed him everywhere all day. He loves Mike!!
Today is a special day for special people...Don (LASD ret)
and his bride Joan are celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. HAPPY

July 15th
Today is Tapioca Pudding
Day. Tapioca Pudding is a cooling, enjoyable dessert, for a hot summer
day.
Perhaps it is hard to believe, but many people have never had Tapioca
Pudding. The most popular flavors are vanilla and chocolate.
You know what to do on this day, don't you!? Right, eat some Tapioca
Pudding. Whether or not you've had it before, Tapioca Pudding is good treat for
today, or any day.
Did you Know? Tapioca is
the starch from a cassava root. This starch forms the soft, tiny balls in the
pudding. It gives tapioca pudding a unique texture.
(You can buy a package of individual servings of this pudding in the
refrigerated section at the market. I love it!

LOL LOL YES I did laugh! Now isn't that just amazing that the two bestest wine that we buy are made by the same guy? I think they are both very very good! I just hate spending a lot for a bottle of wine because I cannot tell the difference! I buy two boxes at a time. I hate hate to run out! :) My wine rack contains many of the Charles Shaw wines right now too. Wish I could take some on my trip but then I would need to take a cork screw and it would just add to the weight. Well, on a 1st class ticket you do get up to 70 lbs free and no charge for bags. :)
Also there is a 1st class lounge where you wait for your boarding and you get free drinks and nibbles! :) Cool, huh?
You and I have good taste, girlfriend! :)
XO Trisha
T, our "wino ways" are definitely the same!!! LOL.
I certainly pray your trip goes well and the protests lined up are peaceful!!! God speed girlfriend!!! xoxoxo
Thank you! We will have excellent security. Police on our buses with a police escort. The buses will unload in the back where the protesters aren't allowed.
The stupid ACLU sued to get the protesters out of a fenced off area away from the Quicken Loans Center and now they are allowed right up to the building! Stupid judge!!
I wish every judge was like Judge Janine!
XO Trisha
Plenty of stupid judges out there!! xo
Good to hear Jack has kept on drummin'.
Maybe I'll make tapioca for dessert. Layer with blueberries. I was thinking about baking biscotti- but I'm not feeling as ambitious now as before deep cleaning upstairs):-
Tapioca and blueberries... YUMMMMMM!!!! xo
