Good 49º sunny clear morning. We got up to 90º yesterday and
should be about the same today.
Bruiser wanted to go outside so I went to the back door... there were
grackles
and woodpeckers
in the water tubs taking baths. So I didn't let him out. Then in the
pasture I saw a black tailed jackrabbit!
Haven't seen a rabbit here in ages!
They have the biggest ears!
So then comes along the 3 does. Well, Bruiser had to stay in so they all
wouldn't get scared away. He gave up wanting out and napped.
Yesterday for breakfast I heated the leftover pulled pork,
mixed some mayonnaise with some of the BBQ sauce, spread it on a whole wheat
muffin, and had a sandwich! OMGOOOOOD!
We've had some strong winds lately. Even with the warmer
temps....

Dinner last night was at the Grants Pass Golf Club for the
Humane Society's Fur Ball. I joined Jennifer and Mike and Julie and
Joe.
Notice the flyer says "Yappy Hour" !!!! LOL
L-R Jennifer Murphy, me, Julie & Joe Bloom, and Mike Hannan. Mike and
Joe had a lot in common... both having been firemen. Joe and I had a lot in
common, as he was an LA Co Fireman! Worked at W. Hollywood Station, Watts, and a
few others. Knew a lot of Deputies too. Julie was a teacher and lots of fun to talk to. Super super nice
folks and I hope we can get together again soon!
Dinner was buffet... prime rib that was out of this world good and TENDER!,
salads, and veggies. Wonderful meal.
I wore my "What wine goes with dog hair" shirt and got tons of
comments and questions where can the shirt be bought. Just type those words in
your browser and you will come up with a number of places that sell
them....

National Chocolate Pudding Day
It’s National Chocolate Pudding Day! Did you know that dessert puddings can
be traced all the way back to the 17th century? During that time, a “pudding”
was actually a very moist cake (similar to a modern-day bread pudding or plum
pudding).
The sweet and creamy confection we know and love today emerged in the
mid-19th century when an English chemist named Alfred Bird developed an egg-free
custard powder. This remarkable invention made it very easy to produce a
delicious pudding with the perfect consistency. Today, pudding is a popular
dessert all over the world.
To celebrate National Chocolate Pudding Day, make your own chocolate
pudding to share with family and
friends!

Yappy Hour? LOVE it.
Yep. In Britain cakes are puddings and cookies are bisquits.
Lifts are elevators- in the US they are either something a surgeon can give a woman's breasts or what is inserted into short people's shoes.
