Remember the story of the little boy who found a $20 bill in
the parking lot of a restaurant? He saw a soldier come in and gave him the $20.
This is the original story and what has happened since. Get out the Kleenex!!!!!
Thanks Bernie Beck (LASD ret) for this!
Here is Sami and Tucker on their street yesterday. They love going to the
snow, but when it comes to your house... even better!
Easy Crock*Pot Asian Chicken ...
1½ pounds boneless chicken breast
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1 cup lemon juice
1 t. garlic powder
2 t. apple cider vinegar
salt and pepper
green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
In small pan on stovetop, mix together honey, sugar, soy
sauce, pineapple juice, lemon juice, garlic powder, and apple cider vinegar.
Heat until sugar melts completely. Transfer to a bowl and set aside. Cut the
chicken into tender strips and season with salt and pepper. Put chicken in the
Crock*Pot and cover with sauce. Cook on low for 6 hours, or until chicken is
tender and cooked through. Serve warm on rice and with vegetables. Drizzle the
lemon sauce over the veggies and rice.
And speaking of Crock*Pot... dinner last night was a rerun of
the Buffalo Chicken Soup I made in September. http://oregonsue.blogspot.com/search?q=Buffalo+Chicken+Soup
Thawed it out, added in some mozzarella cheese and Sriracha
mayonnaise, and bingo! Soooooo good...
At 7pm I lit my candle in Darling's honor... remember, yesterday at 7pm was
Worldwide Candle Lighting.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Monday. Ciao.

Love the view outside your bathroom window. You have a perfect Christmas tree there and it's already flocked. :)
Didn't you say you are about 15 miles or so from Brian's? Amazing the difference in snow coverage. What fun for the kids but I'll bet daddy isn't thrilled to drive in it. :)
XO Trisha
Congratulations to the honeymooners, 47 years of making dreams come true.
The Scott Pelly piece was an amazing piece of journalism. The profession isn't dead. Thank you for posting.
Thanks L!! xo
T, Brian is 9 miles from me, but farther west and north, so the cell he got was stronger. I am surrounded by mountains here. Lets some in and doesn't let some in!! That "Christmas" tree out the window is a home for many birds! Fun to watch them come and go. xo
