Good 33º cloudy morning. Another 1/4" of rain yesterday. So, out of this
past storm, starting December 2nd, we got about 9½" !!! Amazing. None in sight
for a couple of days now...
I love my view here of "my mountain" (Fielder Mountain) but when we lived
in Temple City we had a view of the San Gabriel Mountains. Loved that.... Here
is a picture of the San Gabriel Mountains from Santa Anita Racetrack
Ahhhh...... great memories!
From pal Rod (and a bunch of other people too! It's making the
rounds!)
Male or female? (Thanks Karen Baertschiger!)
You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually
either male or female. Here are examples:Freezer bags are male,
because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.
Sponges are female,
because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.
Tires are male,
because they go bald easily and are often over inflated.
Remote control is female.
Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily
gives a man pleasure, he lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which
buttons to push, he just keeps on trying!
Yesterday did a quick run into town to the Post Office to pick up an order
I needed to get shipped with UPS. It had actually stopped raining. I also
unloaded the rest of my Costco items that had been in the truck for a few days
due to the rain. Anyway, got the packages finished and back to town to UPS. Boy,
what a busy store!!!! Came back home and it started snowing! It was warm, 37º,
so not sticking...but mesmerizing to watch those flakes fall...

National Cupcake Day
Today’s cupcakes are works of art: They are frosted
and often decorated with sprinkles, candies, rosettes, coconut and other
toppings. In recent years, cupcakes have moved beyond children’s party fare and
have become popular with pastry chefs and consumers as sophisticated
alternatives to large cakes at weddings and other celebrations. Cupcake “trees”
stack the cupcakes in the shape of a large, tiered
cake.

LOL I too have seen that card from Moochelle Obama on FB. You KNOW that's what she really thinks!
Sad about the way Jeff Chandler died. My Aunt Zora was so in love with him. Love Tim Conway. I have never laughed so hard as when I watched his skit on Carol Burnett's show when he was a dentist. OMG so funny!
We see the San Gab. Mountains from our front yard. With the rain and cold we have had you would think they would be full of snow. No they aren't. Weird.
Funny about the TV remote. :)

Have a happy day, Trish! Hope all the sickies are better!!! xo
Good morning. Mountains are such a lovely way to know which direction to drive. I don't know that I could ever be happy some place flat.
We have a tiny bit of snow in local mountains- but I wouldn't use the word "pack".
Those cupcakes look tempting. When I want to lick the screen, it is time to eat breakfast.
Know what you mean L, Mt. Wilson was a defining driving direction point! xo
