Good 50º drizzling morning. About 3am I heard the
wind and rain. Howling wind! Pounding rain. So far, 1". Of course the dog goes
out and comes in wet. Same with the cat!
So much rain in the Portland area that it is
causing flooding and over 50 people had to evacuated.
A yearly reminder, this started back in 2008,
about receiving emails from FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc that a package for you was
unable to be delivered and you should open the attachment and print out the
invoice. This link can launch a virus that can steal personal information.
Beware. Trash any suspicious email!! (Thanks Ruth for the
reminder!)
Breakfast was plain yogurt, chicken thigh, and a
drizzle of Jen's Ranch Dressing....
Jen made this up as they love ranch dressing but
she wasn't happy with all the ingredients, mostly the MSG. So, I am going to
share this with you, it's soooooooo good!
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp: dried dill, dried parsley, garlic
powder, onion powder, pepper, kosher salt... also chives either fresh or
dried.
Whisk. Keep refrigerated
I didn't have any onion and garlic powder, only
granulated, so I put 1/2 t. of each in the Magic Bullet and made powder!
I got this from Greece traveling pal, Pat Kelly.
Such imagination. What fun to watch for

LOL.... LOVE police dogs!
When I worked the 911 & calls for service
desk at Lakewood Sheriff's Station, there was a K-9 Deputy who would come in
with his Belgin Malinois dog and the dog would make a beehive straight to me and
lay his head on my lap!
Awwwww.... he was so sweet.
Went shopping yesterday during a break in the
weather. Dropped off some 'stuff' to Jennifer, aka Murph the Surf, at the
Kitchen Company. Then to Brian's office to drop off more 'stuff' and take him my
paper towel holder to see if he can fix it. It's a little man who is holding the
rod the towels go on and the rod came off. I tired to fix it, but no luck. Brian
not feeling the best, sore throat. Sami had strep. B did see a doc for some
meds. Kristen said at her school they sent home a bunch of kids with sore
throats. Going around! Be careful! Use your sanitary wipes after touching
anything!! And for the BEST sore throat cure, gargle with ½ vinegar and ½ water.
The vinegar kills the germs in your throat. Swallow a bit of the mix. Really
works! Then to Safeway for my twice monthly shopping. Lastly to Petco for Royal
Canin for Bruiser. I had a "cat" sweatshirt on and got into lots of
conversations with 'cat people'.
The deer were out in force in the back .... first
just one mom and baby, then the whole troop!
Dinner was reruns of the creamy cheesy bacony
chicken tortellini! Chair, nap, wine, Blue Bloods segments.
Ahhhhh....
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Hump Day.
Ciao.

I am always amazed by the number of wildlife that come right up to your porch. It must be fun watching them.
Animals are so incredible. That police dog KNEW you would love on him and that you were a friend. :)
Sure are lots of birthdays today. So many folks sick right now. I am eager for Kevin to have that furnace with the air cleaner attached installed. Maybe it will help. Poor little baby Ian still has a bad cough. :( Check out the videos on Kev's FB page.
Hey, send some of that rain down here to So Cal please. Thank you! :)
XO Trisha
I LOVE the wildlife here. It is fun and seeing all these beautiful animals is such a treat, T.
As for the rain, I am blowing the clouds south as hard as I can!!! xo
That was a fun video... :) Kristen
Thank you for blowing clouds this way. We're more than happy to share some of our sunshine.
I don't know how I missed pastry day- but it is probably a good thing.
Love the deer. But my roses are happy they haven't found our house.
I'm sure your roses are, L. My grapevines were not happy they were found!!! ox
