A funny comment on yesterday's blog from my pal PJ... she said Bruiser was FBI.
Feline Box Inspector!!!

Mike Hannan came over yesterday and first he fixed the road down by the gate where the water was coming down the hill towards the creek and made a big rut in the road. He also cleaned out the creed bed when it goes under the road and lots of debris get stuck.
He stacked wood on the porch for me. Then he and I had some Sinfire and a nice chat. Mike is Jennifer's BF but he comes here to help me out as needed. He was a fire chief and we have fun chats... re firemen and policemen! Thanks again Mike!!

Dinner was popcorn with that super good garlic parmesan butter Nancy gave me!
Then it was fire:
chair, wine, and a Hallmark movie and Chicago PD.

All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT. Ciao.

National Maple Syrup Day

National Maple Syrup Day provides us with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate this delicious American treat. This sweet and unique flavor originated in America. Native American Indians were the first to harvest and boil the sap of the maple tree into a thick syrup.

Watching or participating in a maple sap harvest, or demonstration, is a fun late winter event. They are held in February-March, when the sap is flowing. It is educational for the kids, too. During field demonstrations, some of the sap is boiled down into syrup. Best of all, free samples are often giving, poured over a pancake or vanilla ice cream.

Did you know? Sap of the maple tree, the same sap used to make maple syrup, makes a refreshing drink. Just put it in the refrigerator and pour a drink whenever you want. Or, have a drink as you harvest the sap from the tree!

How do you participate in National Maple Syrup Day? Pour real maple syrup onto your pancakes or waffles. Or, for an evening treat, pour warm maple syrup onto vanilla ice cream.

Please note, make sure you are using maple syrup, not pancake syrup. Unless the ingredients state otherwise, pancake syrup no longer contains maple syrup.(a surprise to many)

Some of the commentators on Fox the other day said they just knew Obama would stop at SB and visit the families of the dead from the shooting. Since this is considered to be "part of his job" he can then feel free to fly on to Hawaii for vacation. Can you imagine the cost of that trip? IF I were one of those families I would decline the visit. Remember when he and Hil liar y told the families of the dead Benghazi heroes a lie? Don't bother, Mister!!

What a nice friend you have in Mike. Now, what is Sinfire?

What a neat collage of the folks at Temple.

Hey, Please feel free to send some more of that wet stuff down our way. :)

Remember when we had a President who took his "vacations" at his own ranch? Those were the good old days!

Sinfire is a cinnamon whiskey made in Oregon. There is another one called Fireball made in Canada. Good stuff! xo

Maple Syrup is one of God's great gifts from his garden.

I'm sorry the President didn't choose to come to San Bernardino sooner. It would have meant more.

What happened with Richard Jewell is why people don't come forward. Every working journalist- candidate and government official should study his case. It is awful to be a witness and suffer for coming forward.

I have also read many times about the GW Bush's staying at Camp David until AFTER Christmas so most of his SS and staff could be home with their families for Christmas! SUCH thoughtfulness that you will NEVER see in the selfish BHO family!!!

XO Trisha

P.S. I am sitting here cold and that Sinfire sounds terrific right now. :)
