If you have a slow cooker, here's 15 things you probably didn't know you
can make in it:
For dinner I decided to make the Pumpkin Parmesan Pasta I posted
yesterday....
When the linguini was almost done, I tossed in some vegetables to cook for
about 3 minutes...
This was very disappointing. The flavor was almost nil. Also, I'm not a fan
of fettuccini and would rather have angel hair pasta. But, decided to make it the way the original recipe said. Anyway, I will 'doctor' it
up today and give it a boost of flavor. We'll see.............
Sunset last night was amazing..

Great American Smokeout Day
Great American Smokeout Day is
today. Let's finally kick the habit.
Your breath stinks, your clothes stink, your hair stinks, your car/house
stink, and you pollute the air I am breathing!
The goal of this special day is quite obvious: to get people to quit
smoking, resulting in fewer health problems, and less cancer and emphysema
deaths resulting from smoking and secondary smoke.
... And it's also Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day

How sad is the news of Bob Mallon passing away at 66. That is entirely too young. I didn't know him and don't know if John did but after all, we of LASD are family.
Amazing about the McCaughey septuplets. I read the bio about them but it didn't say if they were a result of fertility drugs. It's a shame but with multiples there is nearly always one or two with cerebral palsy or some disability. Cute kids and I love their response to nah sayers when they said "Come to our house and tell us which four you would have terminated". Good one!
Love it that the TV station puts up your pic of your mountain and gives you the photo credit! Congrats again! :)
XO Trisha
Thanks T, Bob Mallon's age at this point is unknown, but he must have been in his late 60's. Jerry was 66. Can't imagine having that many babies at once! YIKES. I think even twins would be a mega lot of work! I sent KOBI the sunset photos, but waited until this morning and they had already posted others yesterday. A day late! xo
Congrats on your celebrity-worthy view.
Note to self: If I ever undergo plastic surgery- do not go out until the results settle down. The movie natives who think cameras steal a person's soul- perhaps they have a point. I don't think Kidman looks bad- although I've felt bad for her hair loss. I would give some of my hair for some of her height.
American Football is the younger sibling to the kind played with a round ball. So it's like English. Until the advent of mass communications, the language spoken on both sides of the Atlantic only had some resemblance.
Ted Turner inherited a fortune and turned it into a great fortune. Being a good businessman does not mean you are wise outside your arena. But such men are likely to blurt out anything on their mind. With "authority". They aren't used to having their ideas challenged. Reminds me of someone else currently on the political stage.
Thanks re the photo, L! Yes, money and prestige and being in charge has tainted a number of people! xo
