Good 46º, 10º warmer than yesterday, morning. Wispy clouds out there. Radar
showing rain down through California. And of course all over the Gulf side of
Mexico and up through Texas with that hurricane Patricia!
So, all my "Pat" friends.... now we can call you Hurricane Pat! Like my
friend Sandy got famous with Hurricane Sandy!
Loren Otto of the Marine Corps League posted this. SO TRUE!!!
No police code for 10-24 or 10-25 or 10-26.
You have to watch these crazy cats.... Halloween is a comin'
Yesterday was haircut day. My Leah works at Shear Perfection on NE 6th St
next to the Lion's Gate church. Kandy owns the shop and Lisa also works there.
If you want a neat place to go, lovely and quaint inside, and good hair cuts,
colors, etc, then go there! 1457 NE 6th St, Grants Pass.
Then I was going to meet a couple of the gals for lunch, but they couldn't
make it. So... I took Brian to lunch at The Vine next door to his State Farm
office on Allen Creek Rd, by Haggan and McDonalds.
He had a meatball sandwich, that he LOVED!
I had a portabello mushroom burger with sweet potato fries and they put a
little cup of marshmallow sauce with them. OMGOOOOOOOOD!!! OINK OINK
OINK!!!
You know me, I'm always taking pictures but get this "Mom!" from
Brian...
Ok, fine. The restaurant is lovely and the food is GREAT!
Our waiter was Manny. So nice.
Then I headed to the Post Office and picked up some packages, mailed
letters, to the market for chicken thighs on sale and spinach and wine. Pharmacy
for prescription and the package store for a box to mail some special stuff to
my Kristen. Came home and put mail on dining room table and opened the box from
my sister... Left the room for a few and came back, the Bruise was napping on
top of everything!
Dude was napping on the floor below.....
Another of the packages I picked up was this book I made of pictures from
my birthday I got from Shutterfly.

LOVE the picture of Brian hiding behind the menu. I don't always take a camera with me so that my relatives don't run away when I'm coming. I would be the same way on the other end of the lens):-
The book- What a neat idea.
That is definitely an interesting read of the womon who went over Niagra Falls in a barrel- the quotes defines authenticity.
My sister-in-law from the south introduced us to the glory of friend balogna served in toast with lots of mustard. It's up there with pastrami.
Have a good one. No. Have MANY good ones.
I know, when I get my camera out I get "that look" from many! I had a friend back years ago who was not a cook. All she could make was 'fried bologny' !!! Yuck. You have some good ones too!! ox
I had to giggle at Brian! That's exactly what Eric does! I have so many photo of him hiding behind a menu, a pillow or anything he can grab at the time. Ug! Brat!!
Oh my mother made fried bologna a lot! I guess it must have originated in the south. The secret is to cut the edges so it doesn't curl up.
OK So I am one of the "Hurricane Patricias"! :) Seriously tho Becky is really worried about her relatives in Mexico and to make matters worse her dad is there visiting right now. I prayed for their safety.
It makes me sad to think that all the wonderful Nelson family members are gone. That was such a wholesome wonderful family and show.
Have a good one!
XO Patricia aka Trisha :)
I forgot to add that Mary Bono is a FB friend of mine. I just went to her page and wrote a happy birthday message with a arrangement of a balloon and a happy birthday balloon. (Yes I have met her in person and have a photo with her)
Yes, tragically Sunny Bono died in a skiing accident and Connie Mack was from Florida and she from Palm Springs. Since they had to live in their own district while in Congress, the marriage just didn't work. Her new hubby is a good looking guy with graying hair. They are honeymooning in Italy right now.
Her real true love is her beautiful grandson, Sonny. You should see the wonderful photos she posts holding him. Oh so sweet.
XO Trisha
I know, Trish, men! Is Becky's family on the east or west coast of Mexico? Pretty scary!!! Was reminded by my pal Erika, there was a Hurricane Erika back in 1997! There was a Hurricane Susan in 1978 in the center of the Pacific and Cyclone Susan in 2012. We're all famous! LOL.
Interesting about Mary Bono. xoxo
OOPS! I meant to say "arrangement of FLOWERS" and a Happy Birthday balloon. Oh well, it was early when I posted that. :)
Not sure where Becky's family is located but she was sure worried about them and especially her dad.
I heard Puerto Vallerta was hit the hardest. That's my ol stompin grounds as so many times I've cruised down there. Hope it's still there.
XO Trisha
