Good 41º cloudy morning.
"10-27"= any return on number or subject?
Breakfast yesterday... a cooked chicken thigh (stolen from Dude's stash)
heated in the microwave with a bit of chicken stock and some chive/onion cream
cheese.... then put on top of spinach...
...with a tomato, of course! YUMMMMMY!
This is sad, the iconic 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles is
going to be torn down...
Boyle Heights, Los Angeles: 6th Street Bridge receives farewell
party ahead of January demolition. Officials deemed the historic landmark a risk
in 2007 because of a chemical reaction causing it to crack and deteriorate.
Our Caveman Bridge in Grants Pass is so similar!
Thanks PattyK for this.....
Sunday the deer were out in back.....
They were happily munching the pears that fell off the tree from the heavy
winds we got that afternoon....
Last night's football.....
This is one of my favorite shows on Sunday night.. Dog Tales. http://www.dogtalestv.com/ Here we get
this show on KOBI TV 5. In the Los Angeles area it's on KODC, and
independent station. You can look up your area on the website. Lots of great dog
stories and photo gallery. I'm going to send them Dude's photo.
The full moon rose last night at 7:19 from behind the mountain....

Saw this on
Cop Humor FB page.... so true!
"Oh.. you're a Police Officer?? Oh.. you're a Firefighter? That's
cool. What do you make?"
"WHAT DO I MAKE?? I make holding your hand seem like the biggest thing in the world when I'm cutting you out of a car. I can make 5 minutes seem like a lifetime when I go in a burning house to save your family. I make those annoying sirens seem like angels when you need them. I can make your children breathe ..................when they stop. I can help you... survive a heart attack. I make myself get out of bed at 3am to risk my life to save people I've never met. I make your family safe from the drug crazed neighbor. I make you and your family safe when you hear someone downstairs at night. I make sure your elderly grandparent is found and safely back home. I run toward danger while others run away. Today I might make the ultimate sacrifice to save your life. I make a difference, what do you make?"

Yesterday took a quick run to town to mail a box to Kristen (her birthday
on Saturday!), Ace for cracked corn, dropped off books and "stuff" at the
community center store. Came home and the "locate" guy showed up. He has to mark
the spot where it's "OK" to put in the new pole for the new TV dish.
He was so nice, and very funny! I said, there are no electrical underground
and we don't have gas. He said, "you don't eat beans?" OMG.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

I forgot Kristen and Isabella share a birthday! Halloween! :) Have a great birthday Kristen! Today is Christian's first birthday. Amazingly he was born on his exact due date. I don't think that happens very often. Tomorrow would have been my mother's birthday. So many birthdays in our family in October. Eric's was the 19th.
Your deer photos are adorable!
I did not know about the embassy in Moscow being torn down by Ronald Reagan.
Yup, Obama and his crew believe the middle class is rich while they live like royalty! grrrrrr November 2016 can't come soon enough!
XO Trisha
We were coming home from GP last evening just as the moon was coming up. it was spectacular ... always fascinating... We don't get to see it much because of trees by our place. p.j.
What a joy to see your deer. I think I love them because I don't live with them. They don't rob my bird feeders or my roses):-
Oh,my. The one good thing to come out of political rancor is the irony of speeches vs. behavior. It is a good chuckle when all the little boys are out there to point out when The Emperor, or his want-to-bees, have no clothes.
I have a friend whose husband is a serious micro-brewer. Thanks for letting me know to send him a thumbs-up today.
Trish, Halloween was also Jerry's dad's birthday! AND, Brian's is Valentine's Day and so was Jerry's mom's birthday! xo
PJ, Brian called me after 6pm and could see the moon in GP, but here we have to wait til it comes over the mountain...! I'd like to get a good distance shot when it comes over the horizon instead of the mountain. So bright by then!xo
Yes, L, I love the deer too. They certainly take care of any roses, grapevines, bushes, and tree leaves and fruit! But, I don't care. They are a joy to see. xo
