Good 46º cloudy morning...
Looks like scattered stuff... noting potent:
Yesterday was nice. We hit 85º, not the 100º+ in Northern and Southern
California! YIKES. When are you ever going to get some Fall weather? And another
fire near Monterey! Too scary.
I received this from PattyK. It's about a deck of cards. Really good and so
many things I never knew about a deck of cards. I guess if you are an avid card
player, you might know these things. Anyway, good video.. about 3 minutes.
And I found this musical version..
I thoroughly enjoyed both videos.
Yesterday for breakfast...
Egg-Tastic (of course)... 2 eggs, some re-constituted freeze dried mushroom
pieces and celery, mayo, and cheese.
I mixed the eggs well with the veggies and a spoonful of mayonnaise, a
pinch of salt and pepper... Cooked in the micro for 1 minute 13 seconds. Then
put the cheese on top to melt...
Baby spinach, tomato, and eggs... YUMMMMMM!
LOL!
Today my
friend John Berokoff from far back as kindergarten at Sierra Park and through
high school at Wilson is celebrating his birthday. Football player and all
around nice guy! Had a crush on him... you can see why. I think ALL the girls
had a crush on John! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!!!
He left California after he retired from teaching and moved
to Tennessee with his beautiful wife Tanya.

in 2013. Thinking about you Jan!! xooxox We were friends from way back in
1966.
Later yesterday Dude was very excited... both the UPS (not Dave..he's out of town)
and the FedEx guys were here. The 'stand-in' for Dave had Dave's truck, and dog
cookies! He said Dave left them just for Dude!!!
Last night was football...

Dinner:
Bacon crumbles, tortellini, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, olives, Prego
Bacon Alfredo Sauce, baby spinach, fake crab, garlic salt.....
First I cooked the tortellini in garlic salted water 18 minutes and
drained. The mushrooms, artichoke hearts (cut in half), olives, about 1/2 cup of
the bacon crumbles, and crab went into a pan with drizzled olive oil and sauteéd
until hot. Next went in the baby spinach..
And lastly I stirred in the Alfredo Sauce and heated everything through.
OMGOOOOD!!!!
LOL.... that's breakfast for today too!!!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

September 22nd
National Ice
Cream Cone Day
In El Sereno
we had a Currie's Mile High Ice Cream Cone parlor. This isn't it, but close ...
on that corner of Huntington Dr and Eastern Ave. It now it looks like this
:0(
Another great
place for ice cream was Leo's Ice Cream in Alhambra on Main St. just east of
Poplar Blvd. On a FB page, I Grew Up In Alhambra, this photo of Leo's was posted
from the 1940's (This was before I started going there...)
The next best
place was Fosselman's on Main St. Alhambra just west of where Leo's was. Awesome
ice cream. Still there!
For my 50th
birthday (gadzzz... I can even remember back that far!!!!) my request was dinner
at Lawry's Prime Rib in Beverly Hills and dessert was ice cream at Fosselman's!
We stood out front eating our ice cream cones!
