Watering At PJ & Dave's ~ Trees Inc ~ Salmon & Veggies ~ Buffalo Chicken Wing History

 

Good 52º clear gonna be horribly hot today morning.

Yesterday I cleaned a few things out of the freezer. Exciting! the decided on what is for dinner. Dude and I took a drive down to PJ and Dave's and turned on the sprinklers and drip lines in the front....

Dude "inspected" everything and pee'd on most!

The Trees Inc people were up here. They needed to access the trees under the power lines all the way up my property and over to neighbor's. Anna and the super were going to walk and I told them it was a long walk, so here take my golf cart. They were happy about that!

Here is the basic way they had to go... from my house up to the property line at the BLM....

Then the crew started in chopping the tops out of trees. Anna was the driver of this rig and she put all the limbs in the chipper...

I give her lots of credit to work in this masculine job and do well. On top of that, she's super pretty and NICE!!!

 They will be back today and head on up towards the BLM line. Said there are a couple of trees that need to come out so I had to sign that off...

Later I went back to PJ and Dave's a couple times changing the water.

This idiot Joyce Mitchell who is responsible for the prison break of the two killers in NY has pleaded guilty. Sheeeesh. She has NO brain to do what she did for a little nookie. You'd think her husband would hate the bitch and divorce her, but noooooooooooooooooooo he's standing by her side! Idiot also!

 

Dinner was sauteéd salmon and veggies. I heated the already cooked salmon in some of my infused onion & garlic olive oil and some infused lemon olive oil....

Then I added in some of the broccoli and cauliflower, sprinkled with Lawry's garlic salt and let heat well....

Then I topped it all with some of the Ruffles bacon dip and some crumbled blue cheese...

OMGOOOOOD!!!

All I know. Nuff said. Predictions for 104º+ today. Yesterday topped at 94.2º at 3:15pm. ICK. Cool 67º inside right now, so will close everything all up and turn on the AC in a bit!Ciao.

National Chicken Wing Day

Established in 1935 by Frank and Theresa Bellissimo near the foot of Main Street and the Buffalo River (hence the name "anchor"), the Anchor Bar moved to this 19th century 3-story Italianate building in 1939, succeeding Haefner's Restaurant at that location. The chicken wings originated in the kitchen of the Anchor Bar in 1964, devised and served by Mrs. Bellissimo herself, and have grown to be not only a national gastronomical treat, but also known internationally. When the NFL Miami Dolphins come to town, quarterback Dan Marino stops by with his teammates for the taste of "Buffalo wings". July 29, 1977 was even designated by the city of Buffalo as Chicken Wing Day. Chicken wings have joined beef-on-wreck as Buffalo-inspired specialties.

Buffalo is noted for its many wonderful ethnic eateries in the tradition of the Anchor Bar and "eating out" is a popular form of entertainment in the Buffalo area. Various festivals, including the annual "Taste of Buffalo", are well attended events. Fast-food establishments have also made their mark in the community and pizza parlors, found all over the city, often offer chicken wings along with their pizzas.

Rising in the background may be seen Buffalo General Hospital's sixteen-story Medical Tower at Ellicott and High Streets. Buffalo General is the city's second oldest hospital (organized in 1855) and is the home of Memorial Institute, the oldest (1898) and one of the largest cancer research and treatment centers in the world. Another area hospital, Millard Fillmore at Gates Circle, was the scene in 1960 of the world's first cardiac pacemaker implant and its inventor, Wilson Greatbatch of Buffalo's neighbor Clarence, New York was selected for the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1986.

Diagonally across Main Street from the Anchor Bar is Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, established in Buffalo as the Bryant & Stratton College in 1854, where many of its students and faculty have enjoyed the fare at the Anchor Bar over the years.
