UGH!!!!!! Everyone is sick of this heat and
humidity.
This is the exact same look you get from your
friends when you tell them you are going to vote for Hillary
Clintoon! (thanks Dee!)
Ok, today is Throw Back Thursday....
Hmmmm 1952 ... Linda (Watterlond) Terror (Wilson
S'63)and me ....
I like how numbers play... on my way to Medford
yesterday I had gone 18 miles and it was 9:18. By the time I had gone 22 miles
it was 9:22 !
Yesterday I had an appointment with my
rheumatologist, Dr. Theerapol Prasertsuntarasai. I know, easy for me to say!
Not. I call him Dr. T. He is from Thailand. Super nice and a good doc! He had my
hands and feet x-rayed.
What I thought and others had said was a
"ganglion cyst" he said was not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst
It's a lump on the lower part of my thumb caused
by my rheumatoid arthritis.
And on the bottom of my right foot is a really
tender spot. He was not sure what it could be, so for the x-rays. He told me and
then reiterated to "take ibuprofen" often!!! OK Boss!
The diagnosis will be up on the patient portal by
today.
After that exciting time I decided to make a run
by Costco for a couple cases of chicken stock.
The parking lot was so jammed, there were not any
parking places except out in the boonies. No thanks. Not going to walk forever
in this heat (100º). So I decided to go to Cash and Carry....
I like their prices and they have Torani sugar
free peanut butter syrup I like in my coffee.. lemon juice, egg nog syrup, bloody mary mix, and coffee creamer cheaper than Safeway...
I also got some canned artichoke quarters, cheaper than anywhere else.... and canned chopped clams (clams and linguine!)
and they had the chicken stock, cheaper than Costco! Yes! Also got a couple bags of fresh veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, snap peas and a bag of broccoli slaw) and some tomatoes. Great shopping trip... Great prices!
Came home, unloaded the car. At the gate was a
box from my nephew's wife Melinda. They have recently moved from Reno to Lake
Tahoe where Jimmy runs a real estate office. Mel sent me a bunch of Christmas
ornaments that had been Marions. Some were Mother's. I will have to go through
them and see all that is there.

About 3:30 yesterday afternoon I went down to PJ
and Dave's to take PJ a little birthday present. We had a wine and chatted. She
and Dave were both exhausted from working all day in the heat. Dave works
repairing tractors and riding lawnmowers etc in town. Said it was 109º under the
pop up he was working under. PJ does pet sitting and watering for the people she
pet sits for. Woody, their new cat is shy but Neko let me take her
picture...
Dinner was salad reruns.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TBT.
Ciao.

July 2nd
World UFO Day
World UFO Day is an awareness day for people to gather together and watch the
skies for unidentified flying objects. The day is celebrated by some on June 24, and others on July 2.
June 24 is the date that aviator Kenneth Arnold reported what is generally considered to be
the first unidentified flying object sighting in the United States,[1] while July 2 commemorates the supposed UFO
crash in the 1947 Roswell UFO Incident.
The stated goal of the July 2 celebration is to raise
awareness of "the undoubted existence of UFOs" and to encourage governments to declassify
their files on UFO
sightings.

What a great haul you had from that market. Cheaper than Costco is even better! It seems that the Costco parking lot is always full! We went there the other night and wondered why we could find a parking space so easily, a handicapped one right up front. Well, no wonder, they had just closed! :(
Every time I see Thomas the train engine I think of Matthew. It's been his fave ever since he was tiny. I used to send him books about Thomas for Christmas. JJ used to buy him the trains.
Stay in and stay cool!

Hi Sue-
Hoping they get a handle on your RA! I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago and have tried about everything! I now do stomach injections of Cimzia monthly, but still struggle. I have a great Dr who also teaches at UCLA.
So as YOU start this new adventure you'll be in my thoughts!
