Good 60º wispy cloudy sunny morning.
In 30 minutes yesterday it went from 90º to 96º! In another 45 minutes it
was 101.3º. UGH..................
This is from Kathy Corso... wine pal.... as she said, "so true"!
Yesterday after I finished going through my checkbook and paying more bills
on line I straightened out a mess of paperwork on my desk. Such thrilling stuff.
Then I cleaned out a cupboard in my bathroom, getting rid of a bunch of
stuff!!!
My friend Flory Ornstein (hubby Neil.. LASD SR ret) is having gallbladder
surgery today. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
This is the
day in 1989 that my Kristen graduated from the LA Co Sheriff's Academy. Still so
proud of you my love! xoxo

And births
this date include...
1927
– Doc
Severinsen, American composer and jazz
trumpeter
Later dinner was an "experiment" ...
Chicken strips, broccoli/cauliflower/carrots, mushrooms,
veggie pasta, (didn't use the spinach!), snap peas, broccoli slaw, and pesto
mayonnaise.
I must have bought the mayonnaise at Costco. Also they have it at Sherm's
Thunderbird. In the box to search where to buy.... So. Cal, Costco, Albertsons,
and a bunch of other places. Made in San Francisco.
I sauteéd the mushrooms and chicken strips in olive oil... and put the
pasta into boiling water seasoned with Lawry's garlic salt...
Two minutes before the end of the pasta cooking I tossed in
the veggies and the broccoli slaw...
Drained the pasta and veggies well...
All of that went into the pan with the mushrooms and
chicken....
Stirred everything up and added in the jar of pesto mayo...
and then topped with parmesan cheese. Let it sit for about 10
minutes...
OMGOOOOOOOD!!!!
If this type of dish appeals to you and you don't like pesto,
stir in some Alfredo sauce, or cheese sauce, even a cream of anything soup, or anything that flips your
skirt!
Yesterday early evening I had a great conversation with
Brian's friend and mine, Kio Ebrahimzadeh.
Kio is a super guy... his grandfather was the police chief for the Shah of Iran (he has since passed away) and a super interesting person. Kio
was a police officer in Oxnard then Simi Valley. He developed brain cancer and
has gone through the ranks of treatment at UCLA Neuro-Oncology Unit http://www.neurooncology.ucla.edu/ ,a fund I contribute to every year.
He is doing exceptionally well. Recently fought and won in court his
retirement from Simi Valley PD. YES!!! I love this guy and am so pleased he is
doing so well.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

There is so much more hope for many cancer patients than before. May your friends and family continue to be blessed by the progress made.
How wonderful that Kio is doing well. The Persian people I know are so lovely. I am wondering why he had to fight for his pension! ???
Dinner does look yummy. Yes I would prefer the Alfredo sauce. I couldn't feed that to my family tho because too many veggies. lol I love veggies, raw and cooked.
Love the photo at Kristen's graduation. Miss Sherm!
