The following came from my friend Nancy (Kujala) Sammons
(Wilson S'63).... This wouldn't work for me and a number of my friends, as we
live in the boonies... but if you live in the city this is a great
idea.
WHAT TO TAKE TO BED WITH YOU... not a joke:
Put your car keys beside your bed at night. Tell your spouse,
your children, your neighbors, your parents, your doctor's office, the check out
girl at the market, everyone you run across... PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED
AT NIGHT.
If you hear a noise outside your home or someone is trying to
get in your house, just press the alarm button for your car. The alarm will go
off and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car
battery dies.
This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time
you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this:
It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no
installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house. It
works if you park in your driveway or garage.
If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break
into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around. After a few
seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out
there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. Also, remember to carry
your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm will work the
same way there. You really should share this with everyone. Maybe it will save a
life or a sexual abuse crime. It also would be useful for any emergency such as
a heart attack where you can't reach the phone. It was suggested to a woman's
husband to take his keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear
him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there is a problem.

Brian flew to LA yesterday morning. Meeting up with Jen and
the kids at the Paradise Pier Hotel (Click
here: Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel | Disneyland Resort ) next to Disneyland.
Alex and Jack met them there too. They were going hang out at the pool the rest
of the day and head to the park today.
Brian sent this later... after an afternoon in the pool Sami was in
bed!
I have been experiencing leg cramps and foot cramps for some
time now. Someone told me not too long ago it's one of my cholesterol meds that
is causing the problem. I read the other day about our body's need for
Magnesium.
I ordered some Magnesium Citrate
from Amazon and they got here in 2 days. I started taking them and low and
behold, the cramps have subsided!!! YES!!!! The first link above will tell you what you
are eating to cause a deficiency.
Dinner was fake crab and stir fry noodles....
... with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, reconstituted carrots and tomato
bits, and some Del Rio Chardonnay....
Everything into the pan with olive oil and a quick heating stir
fry...
The noodles are spread open and added along with the sauce mix in the
package...
DEEE-LISH!!!!!
Of course, if you don't like fake crab .. use fresh, or some of that
leftover rotisserie chicken, or canned salmon or fresh!
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Sunday. Ciao.

Insurance Awareness Day
(My Brian in front of his office)
Insurance
Awareness Day has got to be one of
your top holidays, right!? Now, at this point, one must be asking... Why
Insurance Awareness Day? Good question.
Insurance,
be it home, auto or life insurance, offers you peace of mind that if something
happens, you will be financially protected. Of course when it comes to life
insurance, if something happens, you won't be around to worry about the
outcome.
Insurance
is a gamble. If you buy it, you're gambling that something will go wrong. If you
don't buy it, you're gambling that something will not happen.
Were
not sure what you should do to enjoy and appreciate this day. We are certain
what the insurance companies would like you to do
today........

Well good lord! I read the link about magnesium deficiency and it seems that you can't eat or drink much that you like. Coffee, wine! Ha! I have heard eating bananas will help with that. Good idea to take the supplement. :) The only time I have a cramp is so many times after I have been in the market shopping for a long period of time. My foot cramps all the way home.
You sure were an adorable child! A blonde! Were you a surprise baby? So much younger than your sisters.
How sweet of Brian and family to include Jack and Alex in their Disney adventure. I hope he took a suitcase full of money! The price to get in is outrageous!
I LOVE LOVE the Samsung safety truck! I am posting on my FB page. Wonderful!!
Stay cool!!

Yes, born a blonde, but it soon turned dark. I had to laugh when my dad said, "Every time I hung my pants on the bed post your mother got pregnant." LOL, I said, "you mean you only did 'it' three times?" I guess I was a surprise, they were in their 40's!!!
Jen got the tickets for the hotel and Disneyland and I gave her the $ for Alex and Jack. YES, it is expensive!!!
xo
Your dad's comment cracks me up. Yours was even funnier! LOL
What a nice thing for you to do to pay for Alex and Jack. I am sure they can use a day of fun out there with their uncle and family. Good grandma!!
