Good 35º dark (I hate it dark!) morning! Bruiser always goes
out first thing in the morning, along with Dude, but not now. Not when it's
pitch black out there! Can't blame him!
I have to be good today, breakfast yesterday was that blueberry muffin I
brought home from Tap Rock!
I couldn't even finish it! Really good, but lots of sugar! Then I felt
lousy afterwards. Sigh....................
PICTURE OF THE DAY:
Bruiser likes to sleep on the dining chairs under the
table!
Dude likes "his" couch!
Yesterday the geese showed up for a treat. They are so funny. I call to them "Here goosie goose, here goosiel goose" and they fly right down to me!

music accompanies this. Enjoy!
Yesterday I read in the RELAC (Retired Employees of L A County) that a
retired deputy who worked at the BC Range, Winston Elliott had died. Shock.
"Winnie" was a dear friend and Jerry and I both loved that guy. He retired and
went to work at the Federal Marshall's office at the Federal Court in Pasadena.
We sent Christmas cards to each other, but hadn't heard from him in a couple
years. I have been trying to find a picture of Win, but non in the Sheriff's
Annual, only his name listed. Will keep working on that. Friend at the range is
looking...
Dinner last night was popcorn, butter, and grated cheese. Wasn't in the
mood for cooking! Watched TV.... another cute Hallmark movie.
Pressure is dropping and the rumor from the meteorologists is rain for
tomorrow.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy Tuesday. Ciao.

Middle Name Pride Day
Middle
Name Pride Day honors the seldom used middle name that often sets you apart from
others. It was selected with care, so you should be proud of it.
Here's
two big reasons to be proud of your middle name:
First,
there are plenty of John Smiths and and Mary Jones. Its the middle name your
parents gave you that makes your name unique.
Second,
your parents chose your middle name with great care. It often was selected to
honor a friend or relative. That person may have possessed certain
characteristics that they want you to inherit.
Do
you know why your were given your middle name? If not, todays the day to find
out. If it was in honor of someone, find out a little more about that
person.
We
encourage you to enjoy your middle name on Middle Name Pride Day, and every
day!
What
is your middle name? Mine is Leslie! I was the 3rd girl, and no boys, and daddy
wanted someone named after him. I got
it!

So sorry to hear about Winston. He was a good friend when we worked the Range Booth together.
Let me know if you hear anymore.

My middle name is Elaine - named in honor of friend's of my parent's daughter. The wife was Samoan, my mother was Puerto Rican. Back in the day, that made their marriages to Anglos mixed.
