Had a call from old Temple Station pal, Bill Riordan (LASD
ret) yesterday. He was asking me about the WD-40 sprayed under the hood of your
car. Something Barry Perrou (LASD ret) told me about when the wiring harness
under the hood of my truck was chewed up. Bill's daughter apparently having a
similar problem. Fun chatting with Bill. We discussed a bunch of deputies we
knew and have known. Hope to see each other at the department
reunion!

Today , 50 years ago (OMG...50 Years!!!!), I married Kristen and Brian's dad, George Pendleton, in the Chapel of Roses in Pasadena. Lots of promise. Two perfect children. Nine years. Then the drugs that had bit him took over and all was almost lost. We came out of it. I met and married Jerry in 1975. I am blessed. My children are wonderful and so are their children. George's great loss.

Left here and headed to Grants Pass to the art museum where I
met up with artist Jan Lacy. She made a clay sculpture of Dude's head. I love
it! I will hang it in the living room. www.janlacyart.com Had it sitting here on my desk and Bruiser came up and looked worried. He cautiously went over to it, sniffed it, and touched it with his paw! Guess he decided it was Ok and not real! Nut.
After that a stop at the Elk's to get Jennifer's refund from the canceled
crab feed. Then met up with Bill and Jeannie at the Haul on 5th and H streets,
for a glass of wine. Home and I didn't have to cook. Jennifer gave me some of
her "stew" she made. I am going to have to make one like hers. OMGOOOOOD! This
was a beef roast she cooked in the crock pot for HOURS with consommé, red wine,
onions, spinach, corn, the list goes on.............. Jennifer, details please!
Yesterday afternoon the geese were out in my pasture. They have really been pretty standoff-ish this season. Have been showing up here daily for the last week, but always the rest of the flock shows up. Yesterday it was just the two of them. They have always let me feed them, so I went out and put some cracked corn on the other side of the fence, called to them, and they waddled over and enjoyed a treat. The gander always stands guard and lets the female eat first.
All I know. Nuff said. Happy TGIF. Ciao.

What a lovely wedding picture. You looked beautiful and he, so handsome. What a sad ending to that marriage but things always seem to work out for the best. Jerry!

Thanks T! We were both 19. Such babies! Yes, I did get the best. xo
Oh my! I did not know you were also 19 when you married the first time. So was I. John was 20, two months away from 21. We could not even go out for a drink on our honeymoon but that was ok. We hated the taste. LOL
