Jelly Bean, how did you get to be 19 years old so fast????

smart and, my love, you have it all! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A SPECIAL GIRL! I love
you!!!! oxoxxoxoxo Be REALLY REALLY good to yourself. Choose the mountains to climb and do your very best. Rewards will come.... Don't EVER "settle".

Yesterday I met up with Jennifer at Gtano's for lunch.
I had one of Juan Carlos' Peruvian Margaritas. OMGOOOOOOD!!!!! Best Maggie
EVER!
(AND... even got a hug from Juan Carlos! Missed seeing Lily though.)
Jennifer had chardonnay....
Karen (adorable, sweet, fun girl) fixed us guacamolé right
there at the table. It is THE BEST guacamolé ever!
We had the 'lunch special' which was steak, stuffed with
veggies and cheese, and shrimp. HEAVEN!
It comes with a little side of corn rice and black
beans...
OINK OINK. I could eat there every single day, but then I'd be the size of
my truck! If you haven't been to Gtano's...GO!!! Everything they serve is FRESH. Go for lunch (opens at 11), go for Happy Hour (appetizers awesome!), go for dinner! You will LIKE!!!
After lunch I wanted to stop at the Elks for a glass of wine and to buy the
tickets for the "All you can eat Crab Feed", but they weren't open til 2pm. So,
we went to Tap Rock.
I love coming here. The view is super fun. The decorations throughout the
restaurant are fish and bears.. on everything... from the towel holders in the
restrooms to the walls and everywhere!
We had some chardonnay...
The view...Caveman Bridge...
Across the river in the park kids were feeding the Mallards and Canadian
Geese....
The interesting thing about being at Tap Rock was when we were leaving.
There were 4 gentlemen at a table close to us. When they were leaving one of
them put on a Harley jacket. I commented, of course!, by asking if he had a
Harley. Yes he and his son did. Then we got to talking (no escaping me) and found out they were visiting from So. Cal. LIGHTBULB. Come
to find out he has a house in Temple City! He worked for CHP in ELA! OMG, then
the chatter really started! His name is John and he knows the Salvatore's (Mike
and Dan... both ret LASD). And it turns out that my son Brian, is his friend's
(cabnetry business up here) State Farm Agent! SMALL world.
Jennifer went on her way and I stopped at the Elks and got the
Crab Feed tickets. Then home...
Didn't have dinner. Was till full from lunch, but did taste
Jennifer's lima beans she gave me. AWESOME! Thanks Jen.

Epiphany (Koine Greek: ἐπιφάνεια, epiphaneia, "manifestation",
"striking appearance") or Theophany
(Ancient Greek,Τheophaneia meaning "vision of God") is a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God the Son as a human
being in Jesus Christ. In Western
Christianity, the feast commemorates principally (but not solely) the visit of the Magi to the Christ child, and thus
Jesus' physical manifestation to the Gentiles. Eastern
Christians commemorate the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River, seen as his
manifestation to the world as the Son of God.
In
some Western Christian denominations,
especially in the past, and also in the
present-day Church of
England, the feast of the Epiphany
also initiates a liturgical season of Epiphanytide.
The
traditional date for the feast is January 6. However, since 1970, the
celebration is held in some countries on the Sunday after January 1. Eastern Churches following the Julian Calendar observe the Theophany feast on what for most
countries is January 19 because of the
13-day difference today between that calendar and the generally used Gregorian
calendar.
In
the Church of England, the
eve of the feast used to be celebrated as Twelfth Night.
The Monday after Epiphany is known as Plough
Monday.
