Maybe National Bicarbonate of Soda Day falls so close to New Year's Eve owing to its old fashioned use as a hangover remedy and antacid. But we like to imagine that it is being honored for its great utility in the kitchen as baking soda! It helps dough to rise, and also makes a mean toothpaste. Good ol' bicarb!

Oh I love the looks of your frozen landscape! I'll bet you are staying in the house most of the time. Also bet the animals make it a short time to go out to do their business. I know it's hard to get the grandpups outside when it's raining!

We are having a cold snap, for us, and I am loving it! It feels like we are actually having a winter season!

You dinner looks mouth watering yummy!
